You can genuinely feel that when Robin won the award nobody felt bitter about it. He was clearly the winner.

Nah, it's a formulaic by-the-numbers drama.
When Robin Williams first read the script for this movie. He asked the director Gus Van Sant "Who wrote this?" Gus Van Sant told him that "These two kids Matt Damon and Ben Affleck". Again Robin Williams asked "No seriously, who wrote this?" Gus Van Sant replied "Seriously they wrote this script". That really surprised Robin Williams. Cause there's a depth of writing in this script that you seldom see young writers have.
This was a fantastic script by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, but it was wrapped up in a bow with Robin Williams' improvisations (the story about his wife waking up herself, and the very last line "SOB, he stole my line")

Good one, Emma. Did you notice in the Oscars clip that both Matt & Ben took their mothers to the ceremony? So sweet! 😊 Thanks for sharing this one. It's a keeper.
Beautiful reaction. As someone who went through abuse with two different "fathers" I think it would have changed my life to have someone get through to me that it wasn't my fault. That scene gets me every time. 👍😎❤️
R.I.P Robin Williams!🕊🕊🕊🕊
I was 19 when this movie came out. I wasn't the kind of person to go watch a lot of movies at the cinema much, but I did for this movie. I don't remember a lot of ads for this movie either. I used to watch a lot of TV at the time. There weren't a lot of people in the theater. Anyways, I thought it was phenomenal. Remember leaving the theater thinking it was the best movie I had ever seen. The next morning my favorite morning radio talk show host was raving about Good Will Hunting. He had just seen it. They made this movie for $10 million. Didn't have a big marketing budget for it. It didn't open on a prime date for movies. This movie made it because of word of mouth. Because of how great it is.
Every Robin Williams scene, chef's kiss.
Every now and again a shining star is bright in the sky all on its own. This movie is one of those stars.
R.I.P., Robin.

Great movie . You should do Robin Willams Awakenings or The Dead Poet Society next . Also you can do Matt Damon The Rainmaker. You can also do some movies no reactor will ever do like Cadlic Man or The World According To Garp.
They were both in Dogma and had bit parts in Jay and Silent Bob strike back! Hillarious! Ben has done some great films like open doors, the accountant, gone girl, and some others.

Ben Affleck has a supporting role in Shakespeare In Love. It’s a darn good movie to review. Follows the story of Shakespeare as he conceives and writes Romeo and Juliet.

Shakespeare in Love is a beautiful film. I think her reaction would be great!
The Pursuit of Happyness!
The film is set around south Boston and Harvard Square but was made in Toronto Canada.
Yes, it's true, it's a beautiful film, very successful.
Robin movies: a comedy: The Birdcage ( American remake of La Cage Aux Folles ), a serious drama: the Fisher King
Notice, Will didn't have to go to Harvard to get those interviews.
Great choice, Emma! Thank you for sharing.
Matt Damon and Ben Afleck best friends in real life I believe. This was there own film as well I think.

Watch Matt Damon in: The Martian. Watch Ben Affleck in: The Town and, "The Accountant. Watch Robin Williams in: "One hour photo".
Just what IS it with Matt Damon? He always has to be saved. Normandy, Boston, Mars....even in another galaxy, people have to go save him. Let's go, Matt. Get it in gear! Start pulling your weight, young man....

This has to be a top 5 movie for me. Always love your reactions. This movie is so Boston. What accent do you have if i might ask? This has a wonderful soundtrack too. I think you'd love his music; it's sad but so good. I think you'd love the song "Angeles" that plays when he won't say he loves her. Elliott Smith is brilliant.

Nice reaction, and a very pleasant look to your background. Looks like a film set.
Rest In Paradise Robin❣️
Another movie you should watch is Finding Forrester with Sean Connery, it was the same director as this
you should "Bicentennial Man" (1999). It is another Robin Williams movie. you will really like it.
I didn't even notice it until just now but Will was perfectly fine with getting arrested until that cop touched him on the spot that was all bruised and bloody in his file about his childhood.

Emma you look like Snow White with the blue head bow.
This is on my top ten of all time.
One thing that is very subtle but important, you’ll notice when Sean (Robin Williams) starts to call Will (Matt Damon) son in the last few meetings. This is Sean building a father/son relationship that Will never had, which helps Will with his fear of attachment, that ultimately gets him to “go to see about a girl”
@spud69g

This is Sean building a father/son relationship that neither of them had, Sean had some trapped abuse and trauma pain in there too that seems like he never shared with anyone else.
This is one of my most favorite movies
Miss Emma watch ...Dead Poet Society.. it has a similar existential theme and stars Robin Williams
This is the BEST review
A second viewing will likely be better than the first. Great reaction !
A Gem.
Also, Elliott Smith was robbed for his award for that movie.
My wife used to fart in her sleep exchange was improvised by RW. If you look carefully, you can see the camera shake, the camera man was laughing. The last line, "He stole my line. " was also improvised.
My son also got an identic memory.

Try "Dead Poets Society" (1989), starring Robin Williams and a cast of good young actors.
think Matt Damon should have won best actor the break up scene alone showed his talent

Also check out Elliott Smith, who has multiple songs on the soundtrack. A tortured soul, who left the world too soon, but left such great music.

how do you like dem apples is a popular American colloquialism
This or the Godfather are my favorite movies. Pulp Fiction a close third. Oddly enough all longerish but carried by dialogue.
I really like your sincerity in your reactions… I highly recommend these other two films of Robin Williams - “Patch Adams” and “Dead Poets Society” !!! I believe you will greatly enjoy them!

"The World According To Garp" is an early Robin Williams masterpiece, but it's a dark comedy. Very dark. 😔

The problems on the chalkboard: Third year college math.

As much as I love Matt Damon I'd go with Patch Adams or Dead Poet's Society if you want more Robin Williams. They both bring a roller coaster of emotions just like Good Will Hunting.
