I absolutely love the way Phoebe breaks the fourth wall, like in this episode when she's in the therapy session and she says that she does have friends and looks at the camera for a second hinting that it's the audience, we are her friends, the ones that walk alongside her. It's just something really magical that happens a lot throughout this season and it even gets better with the priest you'll see! :)

If you ever decide to rewatch Fleabag, you'll be surprised with how many hidden little callbacks or foreshadowing you pick up on. I mean, that's valid for any piece of media, but it's so beautifully done in this show. Hope you enjoy the rest of the ride!

I love that so much! I get to watch each episode a couple of extra times throughout the editing process, but it's not quite the same as just watching it through since I'm editing. I'm a BIG "rewatcher". I watch TV shows and movies over and over and over if I like them. So this will definitely be watched many times!

That therapist scene I cannot get enough of. The directing, editing, acting and writing is phenomenal (of course because PWB is a genius). I've seen Fleabag three times but rewatching this through your eyes is a treat!

I watched Fleabag after finishing KE in 2020 and I was also surprised and so excited to see Fiona, I love her and that whole scene, one of my favorites without a doubt. I love the connection that Fleabag makes with us when she looks into the camera, it feels so real, like we really are her friends. That's why I love this season so much, Phoebe takes breaking the fourth wall to another level, it takes on a deeper meaning, you'll notice it better later on, it's just beautiful.

it’s kind of ridiculous how much i relate to claire at 4:58 😂 also, i’ve found that we have the same shrieking laugh and it’s just the funniest thing ever. you did it at 2:59 and have been doing it for a while in videos but i just now realized why it sounded familiar! man i love this channel. definitely agree with fiona being an unexpected delight and hot priest is such a bean 🥺. can’t wait to see what you think of the season as a whole by the end.

🤣 she's so damn adorable!! "No. I don't want to have to tell you that. No." The desperation in her nos is just hilarious. PLEASE DON'T TALK TO ME. LOL YES! Some people call it my cackle. 🤣 But I'm high school my nickname was squeaky! My voice was a little higher pitched still then and my laugh was really high and squeaky so that's what people started calling me. 🤣 As I've aged it's definitely a bit less squeaky and adorable but it's still just the way I laugh! 😂 I get it from my mom! 🥰

No he looked ill at the dinner before he got hit too. He just doesn't look well this season so far in my opinion.. he's got dark circles under his eyes and stuff, which would make sense after getting hit I guess but I feel like he looked off before all that too.

@@KelseasComments They certainly made his hair greasier and he has been showing his teeth a lot more in scenes this season. Both of which give of a really sleazy vibe and works perfectly for his character not necessarily having his facade up anymore.

Great comment as usual thanks!! 🙂 Yes seeing Fiona in this episode was so surprising for me too but very enjoyed it!! You know that Phoebe and Fiona (and also Jodie Comer) are really close friends in real life so that understandable that Fiona participated in one episode (and yes no spoiler but unfortunately we will not seeing her again, it was one time). Don’t be afraid for the rest of season 2, trust Phoebe she will not disappoint you, I can assure you 😉 And Andrew Scott as the (hot) priest is so wonderful, I just love him!! ❤️

The line that stuck out to me "are you really trying to fuck the priest or are you trying to fuck God?" It's a very interesting take, when we personifying our own struggle, anger, jealousy, sadness etc. And project it onto something or someone? Cause very often we don't see the root of the problem we facing, we only know how to act on it. No spoilers, just personal take. She might be attracted to the priest not because he's hot, but because of the Idea, the sense of order, understanding of the world, the reason of it and contempt one finds in religion. Fleabag doesn't have it. She is by herself in this world and maybe that ideology of Hot priest having that pacifies her, but not the religion itself. Where this line of "or are you trying to fuck God", get back at him for not connecting with/helping her comes into play. Made me think of my own projections and true intentions after rewatching:)

Hi Kelsea! Your reactions are gold :) I wanted to give you the heads up for something. It isn't a spoiler so don't worry. In the next couple of episodes something "unusual" will happen and when it happened it left me puzzled. I think you will get what it is when you see it :) however I just recently found out that there is a very cool explanation for that in a video by Insider (Phoebe really is a brilliant writer, but didn't we already know it?) but don't watch that video before you finish the season if you want to avoid spoilers. I will post it under your last episode's reaction!

@@KelseasComments I got the impression G&T's are not as much of a thing in the US, as in the UK and Australia? TBH it sounds like your gin-based drink was made much too strong. A normal G&T with plenty of tonic and a squeeze of lemon or lime will be quite sweet and refreshing (in Australia they are a very common summer drink). But I guess once you have bad experience with a liquor... :)
