watching a risky horror game adaptation
In this video, I’m breaking down Silent Hill (2006), the first film adaptation of the beloved game series. Fans of the Silent Hill are really protective of the game, and non-gamers don't really care about all the intricacies of the universe, so the filmmakers were taking a big career risk in trying to adapt the game to a movie. There was a lot of potential for things to go wrong. Even though the film was released 18 years ago, it’s still worth a watch for horror fans. I swear the version I saw in theatres had more flashes of religious imagery like a cross that shows up for a frame or two burned into the hotel windows.
