Crying in the Rain is one of those rare examples where a cover is as good as the original. Of course A-Ha have better equipment and production than the Everly Brothers but that is never a guarantee of making something better. Both versions are lovely but Morten Harket's melodious voice is so suited to this kind of song.

As a 55 year old man - I'm not ashamed to say that I tear up when I hear or see beautiful things - the emotion in Morton's voice gets me almost every time - between "The Sun Always Shines on TV" or "Summer Moved On". You should do a number "3" with the following: "Major Earth, Minor Sky" "Take On Me (Accoustic version from MTV Unplugged, that'll tear you up!), "Butterfly Butterfly", and "The Shapes that go Together" to name a few.... lol...

Been so lucky to witness the live 3 times, and all 3 times was unforgettable. Also met the band once, absolutely the nicest and fan caring band Ibever met.

OMG! It's the best thing ever watching you discover A-ha 🥰. Lifelines is so insanely beautiful and soothing, it's one of my absolute favorite A-ha songs. Don't even get me startet on Move to Memphis, freaking hot that song! Morten is so ridiculously sexy in that video, that I almost drool myself half to death every time I see it (and I've seen it more than once, I have to admit 😁). I never thought I'd find him hot with long hair, but in that video....DAMN! I hope you'll give "Angel in the snow" a go at some point, it's sooooo gorgeous ❤

At last 😂😂😂 clicked on the second the notification came up. Good choice of tracks, not straight to the more famous hits, well at least lifelines and move to Memphis. But you definitely have to give train of thought and I’ve been losing a listen, two of their more upbeat tempo’s and two songs that I’d also suggest to show someone the power of morten’s vocals. To hear much more of their catalogue you will have to abandon the singles that were released so therefore no official video’s. Such as the song scoundrel days will blow your mind with his vocals, also living a boys adventure tale for a high note of epic scale.

I love Lifelines, and perphaps mostly because of the video. Its basically landscapes of what used to be a well trafficed local town, but as with most such places, they have become abandoned over the years, due to most of the people that used to live there pretty much were forced to move away (closer to the city),maybe due to them growing too old and the fear of being too remote in case of sudden health problems at a high age. Some due to being students and all the local schools being shut down to "save money". Same goes for so many of the local grocery stores, they have all been shut down due to all the big chain stores that are now, wich basically made the local stores out in the districts lose so much income, they had no choice but to shut down. Good and bads with the times changing,i guess. Anyway,A-Ha embraced one of theese remote local places, you can tell from the video that people still come together, thoose few that still live there. Mostly to arrange a market, where they sell berries they have gathered, the fishermen sell any fish they have caught etc. But its still nothing compared to how it used to be. Some of the main road you could see was overgrown with grass,it used to be full on roads way back in time. I find such places extra ordinary and interesting, there is soooo much history there, and i love the calm relaxing atmosphere, the clean air,the sounds of birds singing. Even many of the houses have been abandoned for 1 or several decades,a few might still be used as "summer houses/cabins". As far as lyrics goes,i think you are spot on with alot of what you say. And yet,the best is yet to come lol. The Blood That Moves The Body (my favourite song by them, its a movie soundtrack type of song, although it hasnt been used much in tv or movie productions) Train of Thought (By many considered a somewhat sequel to Take On Me,as far as the video goes,if you like super catchy and uptempo songs,The Blood That Moves The Body & Train Of Thought are 2 of theyr best ones) Touchy! (To see them being silly and abit out of theyr comfort zone),You Are The One (another positive, fun music video), The Living Daylights (A-Ha got to have the main soundtrack for the James Bond franchise movie by the same title,a channel named EightiesFanatic has a really good HD version of that video) And still there are more after that. 1 hit wonders you say Rolling Stone magazine? I dont think sooo! 😁

The Ninth studio album is maybe even better than the forst three, «Foot of the mountain» It came out in 2009, and they went back to the old synth pop that they made (Because they kind of went into a rock group in the 90s) and they were older, and now more skilled musicians. So you should react to their two singles from that album. Title track and shadowside. The title track is one of their biggest hits since the 80s and made number 3 in Germany, top ten in UK for first time since 1988. And the song was the most streamed song that year in their home country Norway

Do not feel bad. If someone told me I had to pick one a-ha song as a favorite, my head would explode! 😂They have so many amazing songs and different generes, I constantly get blown away. I love to listen in my car and blare the music. Then I am usually saying stuff like “Wow! mmmmm! Damn! Holy crap! Oh my god, that was soooo hot!” I am waiting for other drivers to look at me like I am nuts 😂 The three of them together are absolute magic with their writing, composing, playing of instruments, and Morten’s voice with such amazing range! My favorite is when he sings in a low deep key. Sometimes it is even gravelly/scratchy. That is my sweet spot! I could care less what they look like. They could all shave their heads and gain 200 lbs and it wouldn’t matter. To me, it’s their phenomenal talent that makes them so hot. Just listening to them, I am in love 💕 Oh yes though, don’t feel bad about going on about Morten’s looks. I love how you said, here I was minding my own business and…. Yep, exactly! 😂There are millions of people around the world attracted to that man. He said recently he hates all the attention about his looks. Seriously though, I mean, he’s a beautiful man already and then he adds onto it with the bare chest, tight clothes, wind blowing through his hair, always looking like a perfect GQ model. HELLO?! People are going to be drooling when you add extra attention to yourself like that. Ah, I stopped feeling sorry for him there. I will be watching a video and he comes on looking like a pinup, I just say “Morten! I just wanted to hear and watch you sing. Not here to ogle you buddy, geez!” 🙃Although, there is an interview, early 90’s maybe? A female reporter asked him to take his top off and he quickly replied “You first”. Good for him. There is a big difference in admiring someone’s looks and harassment. That wasn’t right. Sorry for my novel. I am an introvert and when you get us on a topic we care about….watch out! 😂😅

Regarding Move to Memphis - to me it is a clear homage to The Doors - from the (sound of the) song itself (keyboard and guitar) to the video (dressed like the Doors in the 60s, the 3 actors trying to "break on through to the other side" and Morten doing Jim Morrison's iconic twirl. No-one ever seems to mention this - and I don't know if they ever confirmed it, but I am damn sure it must be!)

The singing of Morten Harket drives the videos. Take on Me is the entry point. Train of Thought goes further! He has gymnastics with his singing! The videos add another perspective to a-ha.

Hi, I live in the USA and the Take On Me music video has been my favorite since it was released. But it was the only song I knew. I didn’t know their names or that they were from Norway. I “went deeper” into the songs of a-ha on august 13, 2021 - after watching the three part videos about the making of Take On Me. I’ve been obsessed with a-ha since then. I am the same age as the guys and Morten gets better as he ages! I love watching others crush on Morten and the band too. I’m new to your Channel and a-ha reactions. A-ha are the only ones I have seen you do, but I’ll watch your DM and the Cure and U2 ones for sure. You’re able to describe the same feelings that I have listening to the music of a-ha songs. They don’t have a bad song. Pal & Mags are brilliant songwriters. And Morten’s voice…

Dear reactor I t have had an inspiration. I think you should react to Blur videos . Damien now sings the 2D monkey song parts in Gorillaz but in his 90s blond bombshell phase he sang with Blur as the front man in a series of acclaimed singles. I think you should check this out. Everyone is doing Gorrillaz reactions but there was life to this genius songwriter before he started his Gorrillaz monkeying around
