Laura is really just the ultimate champion, showed poise in the moment, didn't let the pressure get to her, had sportsmanship in the end. Absolute class, I'm tellin ya
Jomboy the Kevin Durant of Guts
"Mike, take a nap." Every second of dialogue from Mo and Mike is pure gold. Apparently she hated when he called her Mo, and they weren't very friendly toward each other, iirc.
Just so you know. Jake’s not into kids.
"One of the best game shows off the 2000's" >show aired from 1992-1995

Yeah I used to be up all night through the early 2000’s watching reruns lol
The Guts intro/theme music is unmatched. When you heard it, you strapped in and prepared to watch competitors fight it out for glory.
At least we know Jake is NOT attracted to kids.
Not a fan of Jimmy jumping on the Laura train. Stay in your lane Jombino. Jakey knows a star when he sees one. He’s not attracted to them though.

The perfect example of a phrase that loses credibility the more it's repeated. I'm not attracted to kids.

Hahahaha what a great comment
The great thing about Guts is the kids aren't competing for trivial prizes or tacky resort vacations. No; Guts is purely about asserting your physical dominance over any kid who dares step your way. And making damn sure they know about it.
Yeah, if I won a piece of the crag, it would prominently be displayed in the main room of my house till I died. Then it could be my tombstone.

100% agree with both of you
Its amazing how much better theyve gotten by the time they accidentally redid this episode
Jomboy: “you’d be too sexual for this” Jake: “umm... *Pause* ...yea...I’m not into kids though.” Jomboy: “huge.” Some of the best KZread commentary I’ve heard in a while.

I initial thought that Laura "Brute" Bartlett was the same Laura Bartlett that played professional field hockey in the Summer Olympics 3 times, which turns out not to be the case being that this episode aired in 1992 and the field hockey player who is Scottish was born in 1988 meaning that she was 4 years old at the time.
Had to comeback to this after they watched the same episode in todays watchin’😂
Imagine fast forwarding like 10 years and Laura appears on Baggage hahaha

Yeah, and she opens her biggest case...
The fact that Laura on the invisible boat could have done 7.6 twice more and still won.. is insane
There is an hourlong special that they did, _GUTS All-Stars,_ between the first and second seasons, where players who achieved a perfect score (1,925 points) returned to square off again.
Mike OMalley gives off big "If Jimmie Kimmel hosted a Nickelodeon show" vibe
the 80's version of American Gladiator would be so on brand for these guys.
Back to rewatch this one after the new episode repeated it

Same here!
I cracked up when Jomboy started the question about if a kid ever got rocked, and Jake finished with "pretended to be dead." Unexpected and brilliant.
I'd love to see you guys just comment and joke around with an episode of Most Extreme Elimination Challenge.

The episodes are available on Amazon Prime video. I think that would be one of the best shows for them to watch and commentate, however some of the lines from Kenny and Vic might not fly in 2021

i think laura was given an advantage during the invisible boat
“Hey Moira, I’m Jake. I thought you were amazing when I was a kid. Speaking of, I’m not attracted to kids.”
They did change the rules for that baseball game later in the run where they now have to the baseball(actually were tennis balls) with a bat.
Laura is a different kinda cat
Coming back to watch the original after watching todays ep
Laura put on an absolute CLINIC. What a performance.
I'm pretty sure jungle fever doesn't mean what you think it means.
12/07/20 need more "GUTS!" Reactions!! The show captivated kids within a specific group for a certain period of time... In time it went from awe to lame Lol
Laura is my hero.
I laughed so hard at this video!!
I remember this show from my late grammar school yrs.2early my early Jr.high days
They did my boy Gregory dirty at the end 😂
I'm almost 40; if I won a Crag trophy, I'd STILL have it in a place of pride in my bedroom. Buy some spotlights. Press a button on the dresser and the GUTS theme song plays in triumph.
Idk man. That "invisible boat" event looked wayyy rigged. By the time they cooked the books in the catcher event the game was over.

Really enjoyed you.
Jake makes this so entertaining. I like that he has a personality.
3 yes later Jimmy makes the same trade.... 🤣🤣🤣
San Antonio!!! im from there! thats crazy lol
I’ve always wondered “Is Jake attracted to kids?” I have never been able to tell. I’m glad he addressed it this episode.
lol, Jimmy did the same trade in the new episode
Night Shift Brewing - good stuff Jomboy
10/10, all around. more Guts please!
I had the nes game for this show. It was the hardest game I’ve ever played but I loved it.
I'm sorry but the invisible boat challenge was rigged for Laura. She barely had her paddle in the water lmao.

You guys should watch American Gladiators!!!
YES
Should do AMerican Gladiators, the greatest sport of all time, specifically the season 3 finale featuring the greatest contest of all time....the Eliminator race between Mark "Orangutanga" Ortega vs Joseph "Bam Bam" Morro...or just do a breakdown of that race. MINDBLOWING.
Came back here to watch them watch it for the first time.
That Wild Pitch competition got me thinking...How about a Watchin' American Gladiators episode?
Even as a kid, I just wanted to get into Moira’s guts.

This is a fantastic video and Nickelodeon Guts was an awesome game show
Mike with the surprising "Jungle Fever" comment. I mean, the Spike Lee movie came out a year before. Everybody knew what "Jungle Fever" meant by the time this was filmed.
Moria was 23 when the show started I was sitting here doing the math
Where’s the Nick Studios at Universal Studios line? Lol
More than age, always bet on the kid that's started puberty.
"This is my dream game." Mine is actually to be the one shooting the guns at the kids.
Mo was Karliah in Skyrim. *mind blown*
I'm not convinced for a second that Laura was getting pulled across the pool by the line on top. There's just no way
THE RICK!
How’d they miss the Mic in her face comment first time around??
kinda creepy how they give away their last names and school
Guys...American Gladiators
Why is this unlisted?
I did notice that Jim did not agree with awesome Jakes comment

Dude Laura was so polite in her interviews. The 90s/00s were somethin else. Today's 12 year olds would be like "haha these losers sucked! *dab dab dab*"

assertions in the comments that the third event was rigged are embarrassing, you just don't know how the game is played.
