Watch Two Heartbreaking Songs and a Tap Number From Mrs. Doubtfire
Ойын-сауық
The classic film Mrs. Doubtfire is coming to Broadway, but now it's a musical written by the creators of Something Rotten! Tony nominee Rob McClure stars as Daniel Hillard, a divorced dad trying to do right by his kids, and if that means posing as their matronly nanny, he's in. Here, McClure and costars Analise Scarpaci, Jake Ryan Flynn, Avery Sell, and the ensemble offer a preview of the surprisingly heartbreaking (yet toe-tapping) score.

we have to stan rob mcclure we have to
It wouldn't be 21st century commercial Broadway without an obligatory tap number.
Rob’s Mrs. Doubtfire impression is everything
Rob McClure is a national treasure.
I love Analise Scarpaci's voice, I wish I could see this live someday.

It opens in London in May, transferring from a limited run in Manchester this year, VERY good cast definitely recommend going over to see it.
One of our kiddos made it to final callbacks for the pre-broadway run in Seattle last fall. Fun to see it all come to life!
Two heartbreaking songs and a tap number My life in a summary
How is Rob always so cute? Wish I could see this show!

2:23 - I was with this all the way but the tap number seemed glib. I am a choreographer and dancer and there is never enough dance in a show as far as I'm concerned but this seemed a lil' TTH. Although the second I saw Mr. McClure dancing I started to melt a little. I'm sure this works better in context, on stage and in costume with Mr. McClure in a dress of course! I'm not complaining I'd see this show no matter what. If this show ever gets a chance to open, I feel bad for the children as they may have aged out by that time.
is that the kid.... from sack lunch bunch????

Rob McClure the dad of Browdway everybody xxx 😆
it’s not the kirkpatricks if there isn’t a tap number centered around food

to be honest the modern setting feels weird... make it a period piece? not every movie adaptation on broadway needs to be brought into modernity to be interesting lol. the songs are mediocre but serviceable, of course the main excitement is rob!! hopefully the book is stellar :D

The movie was set in modern day. I honestly prefer set in modern day because it seems more realistic and more interesting. Sorry millenials but I really dont care about the 80's!
Can someone explain to me what the ensemble is here for? This ensemble doesn't really seem neccessary.
@Isa-qz9mb

Makes it more exciting. If it was just one or two people doing a tap number that would be weird.

@@Isa-qz9mb Okay? But it makes no sense. It is just supposed to be Siri giving a recipe? Why is there an ensemble in this number in the first place? And who the hell are these people? Demons summoned by Siri from the Apple Dimension? I'm sorry, but it just doesn't make sense to randomly push an ensemble into here.

@@CV-Moore Ok cool! So you know live theatre is a lot more exaggerated. Do you think the audience would like to see a bigger number like this or something else like a solo or monologue?
I love a good Broadway musical, but this- I don't get it.
oh my . this will not last long on Broadway at all

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean lots of other people won't I can't wait to see it on Broadway! Just because this isn't the origional doesn't mean it isn't good.

looks/sounds pretty bad....too bad because Something Rotten was great
