There is no comparison between any tool and dealer software. The only comparison you could do is dealer tool only works with BMW and Autel or any other aftermarket tool works with many manufacturers but does not cover all functions, I strongly suggest people not to compare dealer tools or software to aftermarket tools. Unless you have unlimited funds and buy all manufacturers dealer tools and their software ( maybe close to a million a year ) . But there's aftermarket tools that do what other aftermarket tools don't, research is your best friend. Thank you for pointing out this video. 👍

Totally agree with you

in this case ,both headlight module is affiliated module under the fem, it have not can bus communication, just lin bus , that's why cannot coding for the headlight module, even dealer tool

Can I use any Autel to reprogram ECU to gain more horsepowers ?

No don’t worry, Autel is still the best diagnostic tool out there. I’ve just shown the public this so they can be aware that Autel and all the other diagnostic tools don’t do everything….

Sometimes one just shouldn't post.

Thanks for message I do recommend Autel or snap on for overall, however if you want to do specific coding for specific cars such as bmw then I suggest you buy genuine dealer software. However In this case there’s no point spending £3000 on an Autel when it doesn’t do everything as it states, I suggest buying something cheaper such as spending like under £2000 and this should do the job that others do for £3000+.

For bmw great for diagnostic and coding is protool software and bimmergeeks obd2 reader. All together cost just around 300£ and u can do a lot

The tool is not the issue, you are the issue because you don't know how to use the scan tool. You can absolutely code the headlights, you just chose the wrong option and should never choose manual.

Incorrect the tool doesn’t allow you to code no matter what you choose. I’ve tried two other types of Autel machine and no joy. Hope in future you have solid facts before commenting… I’ve done plenty of these headlights and it just wouldn’t code the headlights of this car… look at my other videos Mr
