Although I don't race, I love cycling ,I played and coached rugby for many years, what I told the young guys coming through in rugby was " experience buys experience, you can't buy that". Keep doing what you love, you'll find the fast guys don't get any faster, you will.

welcome to the club 😂my first ever race at the don was with the Masters - mostly riders from CAT E/1/2 - I lasted with the bunch 3 laps got dropped and didn't have a clue what just happened. They are machines those guys. Might see you on Tuesdays in Cat 3 - 5 more races left

How much talking goes on in Cat 4, are you telling riders in front you are moving up if it is getting tight?.. Also what type of FTP would a Cat 4 need to not get totally rekt and thrown out the back?.. I ask as I am coming back to cycling after a couple of years of mediocrity but before that I was a 8-10k mile a year cyclist all be it mainly just regular riding and fast touring and never got to dip my toe into racing, just got a smart trainer and started doing the odd Zwift race and getting my mileage and hours up again over the last 4 weeks and starting to think about getting involved once I have lost 2 stone lol.. Very good I deed I I’ve ridden at 1 cat speed and even ridden with a 1 cat and it’s very fast indeed normally people can’t keep up with me but this guy could so top trumps to you for doing what you did it’s not easy
