I’ve got a 2020 Chevy Traverse LT AWD with 27,900 miles and we bought it new. I’ve taken it on road trips to Florida, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and to and from Wisconsin, Iowa, and Indiana (I live in the Chicago area). I’ve experienced absolutely no problems and I’ve enjoyed the driving experience since the day we brought her home.

Bought 2017 traverse in 2021 with 8500 miles. After 2 years no problems BUT with 36000 miles had to replace rr wheel bearing . Bummer dealer couldn't figure noise in rear.

On my 4th Traverse - my next vehicle will be another Traverse - they need a video on inept owners and drivers. This video shows a different vehicle than the Traverse when demonstrating a problem. My guess is Lemon Law Assist has a video on every vehicle, just a guess.

I bought a 2023 Traverse in the Premier trim level with 13 miles on it. Have taken it on 2 long distances road trips across state lines, thru the pass in snow conditions and off road with rain/mud conditions. The vehicle handles well, with no issues thus far closing in on 20k miles now. My problem is this video. Why not show us videos of the traverse and the issues being discussed rather than a bunch of random vehicles being shown... Most vehicles will inquire problems over time but make sure to have required maintenance done at regular intervals and you're good.

I've owned a 2019 Traverse LT AWD and sold it with 58k miles and loved it so much I bought another, 2020 Traverse LT AWD with 34k miles because of the upgraded features it has. Every car will have maybe one of these problems mentioned at one time or another no matter the car maker. Audi, Ford, Chevy, Chrysler it doesn't matter. Those car makers have all been around for many years and try to make the best they can. It all comes down to personal taste. Every car I have owned of Chevy has never had those problems though counting the Traverse.

We have had about 8 Chevys of various models over many years, all of which we drove over 200k miles.. not one of them ever had or needed engine or transmission repairs. All we did is change the oil.

I own a pre owned 2020 Traverse ls and I I've take it from Dallas to South Padre Island, I've also driven it to the middle of Mexico and back and no problems

Over 6 years with 2015 Traverse no issues. Except for battery change and brake work. No engine issues which was the reason to buy new. Advice: change oil on time religiously and it will run forever.

I don’t know where you’re getting your information from but all vehicles have some issues. I have done the timing on the traverse/GMC terrain and that’s about the only problem I have with them. Very dependable and reliable vehicle even if it needs a timing job.

I bought my 2012 brand new and still have it. Not once has it been to the shop. Runs like a top and considering buying the Traverse Z71 in 2025.

Hello does anybody know how to look up a add after something is bought

I have had two and outside of the normal wear and tear and age issues, they were perfect.

I have a 2018 Chevy Traverse with 45k miles on it. Sometimes when you start it it goes in reverse and then takes a few seconds to change to forward. Another issue I’m having is the “Shift to Park” notification when I shut my car off. I have to press forward or wiggle the shift stick in order for it to turn off completely. Also my lighter fuse is blown and I need to figure how to fix that.

My 2018 chevrolet traverse awd lt doesn't seem to have any of this problems....knock on wood. This is my baby...ride smooth, shift smooth, handles good except going over giant speed bump in front wheel drive mode will i nose dive and bounces alot. But not in awd mode that nose dive and bounces goes away. Other than that i just do the daily routine oil maintenance myself and recently just got done changing the transmission fluid.

2019 brand new traverse with 74k miles on it...ive replaced an evap sensor, battery, and now its got a speed sensor of some sort wrong with it. High RPM's and wont shift, no matter how fast you go

I think this video was for me. I hate my traverse! It is truly a lemon! I have had issues with it since I purchased it. The brakes, the transmission, it's a gas guzzler, and now there is something else wrong with it smh. I'm almost to the point of doing a voluntary repo... I hate I feel trapped and suckered by this lemon!

Only issue I have is that it intermittently doesn't think it's in park even though it is mechanically. I seem a TSB that it's just the switch in the shifter not registering.

I have a 2020 and mostly love it. I have a suspicion that, in mine at least, initiating systems of the vehicle that dont get daily, or at least regular use, causes them to exploit whatever weak spot they possesses. Ive had body control mod., rear camera, and front camera failures at less than 100 000.00 kilometers( around 60 000.00 miles). Each time, occuring, after new, or additional, or not-usual, options were engaged. I generally drive it solo, but purchased it for immediate versatility with kids, friends, work, tow capability etc. To all the actually knowledgeable folks out there; this is a 100% guess, based on some pretty weak observations, and could easily be nonsense.👍

My 2020 redline has had the exhaust pipes replaced twice. And the transmission replaced at 70k miles. Rear brakes squeaked for 2 years until I finally just replaced them. I was always told there is nothing wrong with them. Replacing them got rid of the noise. My 2018 traverse had a shift to park issue.

my 2017 chevy traverse 8,0000 now.very reliable.

If you buy a 2022 Model Chevy Traverse, Be aware that the brakes could make a loud screeching sound or cause the vehicle to shake at a stop which could potentially create a dangerous situation. My Parents' 2022 Traverse which is AWD, did this when I was on my Commute to College this Morning and I thought the wheels were about to fall off because of the way they sounded when stopping the car. It scared the heck out of me. It only has a little over 8000 miles on it and was only used to get me to and from college.

60k miles on it no issues at all. Only things that was fixed were the trans shifter going to park mode. And at 50k the Evap canister that was recalled. Brakes were changed due to noise but had to get used to it. Still the same after the 3kmile change after they rotated the tires and messed up something there..

I have a 2020 Traverse High Country with 20,000 miles. I have intermittently noisy brakes, have had to replace the rear axle because of leaking and needed the air conditioner repaired for not blowing out cold air. My new car warranty expires next month and I'm wondering if I would be wise to purchase an extended warranty or perhaps trade the Traverse in for another vehicle.

I own a 2020 chevy Traverse LT AWD, purchased brand new in Dec 2019. About two months in, I started to hear a little "rattle" immediately when I accelerate, when I drive approx 30-40mph, when I go uphill, sometimes when I go downhill. I live in NYC, and the speed limit is 25mph, also, to date (Oct, 2023) I only have 18K miles on it, as I only drive to and from work and I am the only operator of my vehicle. The problem is, when I have taken it to the dealer, they NEVER hear the noise I am complaining about, because it is INTERMITTENT. Someone would actually have to be driving the car for a while, maybe 20 or 30 minutes for the noise to happen, and it does NOT happen every day. Dealer said, there are no loose cables or anything that could cause my "imaginary" rattle. It's very frustrating. Aside from this one issue, I really do love my Traverse.

Same here with my 2020 Traverse; at the dealer AGAIN!! 4th visit

had a new 2016 awd LS and the front suspension wasnt secured at the assembly plant,,,wheres the quality control?? was a lemon and it got stolen,,,onstar found it 1200 miles away n pieces....got a Tahoe and its still runs good for a 2018....toyota is my next purchase or a new Lexus

I was looking from some facts on the latest model Traverse and this was not very helpful. Emotional claims of defects need to be backed-up with hard data such as how many problems have occurred per thousand vehicles sold. I will check Consumer Reports or JD Power reports on vehicle dependabiIity. I know many people who own a Traverse with high mileage and have had ZERO problems. In their opinion it is one of the best vehicles they have owned. I can't help but think this is nothing more than a not so subtle scare tactic to sell Lemon Law Assist.

I've had my Traverse since 2012. It's a beautiful beast of an SUV. I've done sooo many repairs and they all began after 6months of ownership. However, since it was my first Chevy and my first large SUV I thought it was normal. Lol 😅 Can't seem to let it go though. It's very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Like the video though I am driving around with airbag light on and yes I had it repaired and it showed up again. Also, I have stabilatrack light on but can't afford to get that looked at. 😓

I'm sorry to hear that. Our qualification is from 2017 to 2023 for states in California and for states outside of California with 2-3 or more qualifying repairs for the same problem and qualifying 90k to be low mileage.

LOL. The major problems: Engine, Transmission, Electrical... pretty much EVERYTHING!!!

Traverse from 2004 to 2019 has a lot of issues, but GM solved most of them for the models after 2019

its funny that you only show no chevy traverse images with problems, i have a2018 traverse and it never had any problem you mentioned.

Just bought one (2023 traverse LT) after 2 weeks of driving I got low tire pressure

I just bought a 2023 Traverse. When I see a video like this I think I'm screwed. Seeing all the positive comments pisses me off. I've owned many G M vehicles and never had any problems. The only problem I had was with a Honda accord. Piece of shit

Don’t be afraid of the last 3 -4years of Traverse. Looks to me like the examples here are from 2019 and earlier models. My ‘23 has no issues at this time. I luv it 😊

My grandma drives a 2020 traverse and I don’t know how she thinks it’s a good car just because of its looks. Just because it looks good don’t mean it is and she don’t get it. Luckily it’s currently got low mileage and after so long, I know that piece of shit will fall down quickly and cost thousands to repair. I tried to warn her and she failed to listen but hopefully she’ll realize not to get a Chevy, especially a traverse because they’re not reliable at all
