I just picked up a x350 with electric mulch control last September. Used it for 2 months before putting it away for winter. Only complaint I have is the baffles on the mulch kit isolate the left blade. So the washout port is unusable. So I may have to clean under the deck a couple times a year instead of just once

Why? What did you get for $800 more than a S170 costs? Engine 3 HP weaker, wheels 4" smaller, deck 6" narrower, lesser seat, same junk K-46 transaxle, same tow capacity, all on a frame that is physically larger yet only weighs 41 pounds more than the S170. How much tougher can a bigger tractor that weighs 41 pounds more be? No complaints about S170 series frames and deck. Nobody complaining about the Briggs engine. Is $800 worth better front wheel bearings? You paid $800 for insurance on the off-chance the K46 will last 2 years .... but not 3 years.

How many hours of life can you expect from that between engine from Kawasaki if you maintain it correctly which I always do

I got 2 acres but they are covered deep in leaves and I need to get ride of them to get the Grass to grow. Is bigger better 380 > 350?

Yes but collecting 2 acres of leaves with the double bagger of the 300 series would be a miserable time. You probably want the 390 and a trac-vac. That is what works for my acre worth of oak and maple leaves each year. Don’t let anyone tell you a 42 inch deck is sufficient for two acres, that’s for sure. Get at least 48. If not 54. I’d even suggest a 60” deck if storage isn’t an issue 👍

2 acres is a lot to collect- biggest domestic is the X590 with 3 bag power flow collector which would be better but it's still a big job! You can have a 54" on the 590 as per @jaxturner7288 comment

I'm still using my 1999 Sears, 16.5 Kohler, 42". Original oil filter. I swear it's super glued on. Just add oil ever 2 years. Cut an acre for 16 years then bought a 2nd house. Two houses since 2016. That one has 3 acres of grass. I hit riding mower lottery, as did you. That's all it is. Every review has 10 plus % of 1 star reviews and I've always drawn the line at that percentage. So there is nothing to buy. Keep fixing yours and don't give in. I was tempted many times over. Still going...good luck.

Does this mower keep the battery charge

hiya! It's just like a car battery - if its left in damp cold conditions for a long time it will go down. Some people put it on a trickle charge to maintain the power

I had no idea these were sold in the UK. Are the X7 and X9 series the same machines?

Hi- they are indeed! We are Wiltshire's main John Deere Lawn and Garden dealer. The X7 are the old X9 series- the X7's are no longer being produced. hope this helps

Sorry buddy but the first round of the craftsman tight turn series 2019 to 2021.. T240 and T260 are still unbeatable built like little tanks..and can't speak for the newer versions..

Hate the green decks.

Transmission is weak. I recommend not to purchase 😢

Music too loud, having a difficult time understanding what the guy is talking about. All of this doesn’t empress me at all.
