Good choice! The Overwatch bags look cool, but they cost more than the leatherpros and require more work. The Leatherpros are made in USA and have more luggage capacity.

I understand the bags can be locked onto the bike but the contents in bag cannot be locked away so you are unable to walk away and hope your contents will be there when you return anyone got an answer would be helpful

If I was doing soft bags I prefer a bit of a sag, looks worn, used and road traveled vs something a dentist has on his bar hopper

Anyone put these on a 19' slim? I'm confused if you need the tail light relocation kit in addition to the license plate relocation kit.

You’ll need the light kit for sure, but I’m sure about the license plate.

i think id rather run thrashin expedition bags personally. A little smaller, about 21L instead of the 30L from the EZ mounts but youre also saving over $300

These won’t work on fxbb with a full fender swap though will they nthwynwould at least look weird with the cut outs ????😢

That’s what I don’t understand, why have cut outs on them!?! The relocation kit for the signals are sold separately!!!! Makes no sense, should’ve been made without the cut outs and designed for the license turn signals mount.

If you look on the plastic handle it looks like their is a button which I assume you'll have to depress in order to remove.

I like the overall look with the hard shell, I don’t like the signal light cutout that requires the relocation kit.

Looks like they fit on the Low Rider ST with no need for the rear turn signal ….correct..?

They do but I did mention in the video, the lights and recessed area does not lineup. I point it out in the video, it’s about .5” off from the recessed area.

Does not matter where its made, even USA made stuff can be shit. i like the HD quality as they have hard shell and will never ever sag unlike Leatherpros loose their shape and finish over time... HD does make good technical and tested stuff in after market place.... i like some of the HD stuff.

Wish they did a complete remake of the og fxdxt bags without these cut outs Be rad to have oem dxt bags again

Yep, I like the look of them. The cut outs completely kill the look, and are useless without the relocation kit.

They kinda have the same shape as the sport glide bags... It crazy how an after market company can accommodate their product to the stock signals on for a Harley. However if you buy a Harley product "these new bags" you have to relocate the very concept , the original vision the placement of the turn signal as Harley intended. Oh yeah , tururu!!!!

Yes, one of the bikes they’re demonstrating on is a FXLRST. A lot of folks in the group have ditched the sport glide bags for other options. I like how they don’t sag like the LeatherPros, but that’s about.

Yes it is, I bought these for my 22 StreetBob today and realized when I got home I need the relocation kit..

I like the leather pro retro mini but, are they too small for long trips?

I think they’re too small, and for the price, you’re better off with the v3s in my opinion. They might look good on the Sportsters 🤷

Thanks……the videos make the install look easy but, does my softail standard in stock form have existing brackets for mounting? Sorry, my bike’s garaged elsewhere and I can’t do a visual.

@@telluridecoffeeyum LeatherPros provides the mounting for their bags. If you’re talking about the over watch bags, you’ll need the turn signal relocation kit. The EZ mounts have signal light cut outs, so no need to relocate the turn aignals

Confused. It shows the Lowrider needing the turn signal kit but yet it has the indents for the turn signals.

You need to relocate them, the cutouts are towards the rear of the fender. While the turn signals sit at the rear of the struts. You don’t need to relocate with the Leather Pros EZ mounts

I love that they keep their shape, but the fact that they want to milk you for more money and require a tail light location is ridiculous and for that fact alone I'd refuse to buy them. I hope leatherpros makes a semi hard version like these in the future because I much prefer the shape.

They look nice but I rather stay with my leather pros I have no complaints and plus the latch looks super plastic n cheap sadly to say, again I haven't seen it in person so who knows if I'm wrong about that.

I thought you dont need the relocation kit

Only if you own a Low Rider ST or Sport Glide. You don’t need to relocate turn signals with Leather Pros EZ mount

Man are you kidding me $774.95 they get you with the price on the bike then get you again on the saddlebags top it off for another $100 for turn signal relocation, I would say maybe $300 maybe

They are better than the saddlemen ones.

Overall, I think they look good minus the reflector. But HD clearly knocked off LP and I can't support that. I just ordered the LP retro minis. I can't find a single pic of them on a softail. I think they'll look good, we'll see when they come in.

They’re actually originally designed by Harley in the early 2000s, Leather Pros improved on the design with they’re latching system and heat shield. I’m waiting for a retro minis sportster release, they mentioned it’s in the works.
