great video paul, i had a stunning female salvini who would try to entice a male jack dempsey to spawn, he wasnt having it, but it was a beautiful display very nice group you have...passed memories are tuggin at my heart strings😅

Haha I love to tug on those heart strings Jeff however a lot of the new fish I have brought into the fishroom are peaceful SA Cichlids lol

I've had my 3 inch female Salvini 2 weeks today. She's in with 10 colombian tetras and a red tail black shark. She's always out in the open. It's worth mentioning that the females have better colouration than the males. Beautiful fish 👌🏻

They are stunning... I like the hardy part... They remind me of Jaguars when they are young Great info

My salvini is the coolest fish I own, he has an incredible personality, barely any aggression diet of crickets, roaches, blood worms and a zucchini slice give the strongest colouring from my observations.

Dear Paul: I had loads of fun, breeding various, cichlid species, years ago. They are some of the most colorful and easily-bred, egg-laying species. I’ve since moved on to aquascaping, which is largely not conducive, to these fishes. Do you have any, live plants, in aquaria? I’d like to see some of your aquascapes, if you do that. I have a breeding pair and they are very aggressive when they have fry. They take up one end of the tank and all my larger chiclids are on the other end of my 75 gallon.

I have a lone female in my 7ft american cichlid tank and she's stunning, she's definitely feisty when she wants to be but for the most part she minds her own business, especially now she's adult.

​@bigfishlad4847 yeah I actually prefer the look of the females, the deep yellows with the red belly and blue highlights...they remind me a bit of festae in that regard! Where I find the females better looking.

these are the meanest small fish ive ever kept any fish of similar size including dovi is dead meat. only the grammode is similar as far as just being a natural menace
