For me it’s not about the money, it’s about entertainment. I am working on my editing skills something I had no clue about 4 years ago. At least I learned some skills during the journey. I learned to pat myself on the back. To be doing this at my age with no backing I am proud of my work. This video is an eye opener. Thanks for sharing.

1. Grab attention by making the first 35 seconds of your videos interesting. 2. Get on the algorithm's good side. 3. Increase your watch time, comments, and general engagement. 4. Make all of your videos at least 10 minutes long. (non-negotiable) 5. Sell your personality. 6. Tell a story/make a playlist. 7. Have an end card/leave a bread crumb. 8. Build a solid foundation by making every video a good representation of your channel. 9. Be aware of how much you reveal about your private life/daily routine. 10. Have a separate business email. Bonus tip: Be aware of scams about influencer growth. Always do your research beforehand. This is all really good advice. I've wanted to be a youtuber since I was thirteen and even though I feel like it's too late for me i'm going to follow all of your tips. In one year if it doesn't work out then i'll know it wasn't meant to be and i'll try something else, maybe pottery. Thank you for the brutal honesty.

@@howtomakeamillion477 no. You don't have too. So, many people have different things they would use an email account for. For entertainment, news, business, school, personal. Her point is to NOT use or link your account for KZread with your BUSINESS email because then, a hacker could jack that email and get a lot of info from you, it would be sad if that email also contained business convos, school email, etc, because that's a lot of personal and important info going to a random person. Do you understand now?

I started my channel last year to help people with their stress and anxiety during lockdown. I decided to continue during reopening and this past year to help people the best way I knew how. I know KZread is a learning curve and I'm certainly not in a rush to make it big, but helping as many people as possible with my channel has been what's driven me this past year to not give up on it. To me it's been about saving lives. Unfortunately, I haven't grown very much and I have very low engagement which feels extremely defeating given all of the sacrificing I have done this past year and knowing I wasn't able to reach people that could truly use what I share. I've been considering taking a break or trying something different, but this video randomly popped up and I keep getting signs that say keep doing it. I have such a huge passion for sharing all the things that have saved my life, but feeling like it's not helping anyone causes me to question if my life's focus is misplaced. GAH. I made sure to watch the video all the way to the end because I know how important that can be. So glad I found this video. I definitely feel less alone. Thank you, Kelly!
