Can you make video on what’s inside an impedance adapter? I want to make my own with 5 ohm cuz the 10 ohm one with the RED is too much for me but I still want to add some bass.

I'm afraid I can't because I only have one of these atm and it's getting technical (you need to have the correct tools and material for soldering, or else distortion becomes a problem). But here's a little game that I used to play back in the day: buy a 3m,5m,7m,10m extension cable (3.5 to 3.5) and see how the sound would change...

@@athenovae The only relevant soldering experience I had, was when I was a stupid kid, I tried to change out the op-amp of a cheap portable amp (thought that it would make it sound "expensive"?), soldered normally with tin. It did sound, but with some kind of weird white noise/distortion. After that, IIRC an old man said something like "that's not how it's done, you need a specific type of tin for soldering audio stuff as well"... I was like, wtf, then never touched it afterward lol PS back to the topic, yah, can't help, sorry :/

If you can’t hear a difference, then it doesn’t matter and that’s legit. If one can hear a difference and that matters to them, then that is also legit. Listening can develop over time. I’m intrigued to hear the violin test catagen suggested :)

Kool Video Catadegen, as usual 🎧☯️🙌 Digital cables: actually, they do, depending on how revealing your chain and clarity of listening. I know, i was skeptical too, but testing and experience has proven over and over..with 3 different chains: WiiM Pro - used the included plastic optical cable to my main system with OG Metrum Octave Dac. Sounded like a cheap radio 😕 I had an Amazon “glass” fiber optic cable, substituted and marked improvment better frequency response, sounded like a significantly better radio just with the quality cable more bass more frequency coherence. I was surprised and happy about the improvement! Hiby R6 Pro v1: This thing, i tried two of the same model, had issues getting a lock with above dac via coax spdf period. It would sync with my chord mojo v1, but it would only play up to 24/96 with the included digital coax cable. I tried multiple other cables from amazon to fiio with little improvement until i had an ebay guy build a solid silver digital coax cable. Finally the Hiby Mojo would play 24/192 files! IMac desktop as digital source for the main system: Revealing system that I am very familiar with its audio characteristics. I’ve used multiple digital cables on this between iMac and an Audiophellio ii with lps usb>spdif coax converter. I’ve had many digital usb cables in this part of the chain, and they all have a different character in sound. Different speeds occ copper is smooth but a bit slow, solid silver, fast and clear, but surpassed by a Pangea XL with divorced power and data cables and Cardas Copper - more fulsome sounding note weight and less veiled. So why does a digital cable matter - jitter and our hearings ability or inability to discern things that sound right or not. My understanding: A digital signal is carried as a square wave. If that wave is very square it faithfully transmits the signal. If there is a wave that is not so square then jitter is introduced basically timing of when a digit registers relative to one another or at all - like in the case of the cheap optical cable or the not so great coax output on the hiby. The divorced usb cable has the advantage of not running power and it’s influence adjacent to the finicky data stream. The effects can be subtle to dramatic acoustically speaking. But i totally agree, that looking for high value/ performance cables is smart. The glass optical cable was ~ $40 for instance on Amazon. The nice custom hiby silver ebay cable wasn’t that much. One of the key things is listening and trying to figure out the weak link/s in the chain. I was thinking my dac was becoming the weakest link, because i had faith in the chain between iMac and dac. Turns out that there was a lot of jitter-bugs, and the dac has a sound characteristic that isn’t fuzzy anymore with much more clarity especially in the bass, much more space and quiet between images, better image depth, more frequency coherence top to bottom. A couple iFi products that rebuild square waves and filter noise helped alot: usb ipurifier 3 going into the audiophellio 2 with lps, and spdif iPurifier 2 with iPower X, on the coax input of the dac. These are acoustically amazing to my ears in my system. The WiiM pro became a borderline audiophile streamer with the cable, iFi purifier, and i power 2 for it. Probably for less money than equal sounding streamer. Long winded, but some of my “chain” experience 🙏✨🙏

Just listened to the violin comparison track. iPhone to camera adapter to a silver usb cable to mojo i, iem’s shure se530 and etymotic EVO. So interesting how different the violins sound with each iem. I think i understand the differences with Shure, and then the Ety presents them differently. The Shures are more comfortable :) don’t seem to capture the wholeness of the violins sound as much as the Etys do. Ety’s are a little cleaner, a bit better separation. The 909 sounds like more of a pro instrument of the 3. Its sound cuts through clearly with good resonance across the frequencies. The resonances are better controlled in the instrument body and might be louder? The 907 has some stronger and weaker tones. It has strong unconstrained lower resonance, too constrained mids, and uppers cut through nicely. The 905 seems well balanced, even, mellower, but not as bold sounding as the two higher models. Not as much of a solo instrument. They all have nice tones generally. A cool thing to listen to, thanks✨

And with Drop K10’s… World of difference, can hear the HVAC in the background of the room, the voice sounds so much more real, the 905 sounds a lot better, i can hear the tones more clearly up and down, sounds almost like I’m there. Richer, fuller, body of the instrument comes through. I have a nice affordable balanced cable from china on this with a silver 4.4-3.5 adapter cable to the mojo. The K10’s are just good and rewarding to me. 🎧✨👂
