Generally agree that these champs have just been powercrept, not necessarily "overrated" With that being said, Baron is still so good. While he has lost value in arena (still wrecks G5 ofc) his value is in PvE content. Hardly any waves can withstand a nuke with his A4. I use him daily as an end game player. His surplus dealing damage on his A1 is what stands him apart from other surplus damage dealers. Campaign NM 12-6 in 10 seconds My duo Mino farmer in 15 seconds Normal and Hard hydra floors So many DT bosses or bosses. Specifically with his unresistable A2 drop defense, very underrated. Especially Dark Fae

I don't think this is a list of overrated. That would imply they were never good despite being popular. This is a list of power creep and it's endless March forward.

could easily havea "power crept" list as well my thinking is that these champions are good/bad before + perceived as good however are still perceived as good/sought after even though they are not as good as they once were or should not be as sought after currently. hopefully that makes sense.

I agree. Solid list for champs that were power crept, might not be on someone's wish list anymore, and might not be used by players in the end game. i don't think these are necessarily overrated. As an example: I don't think anyone is saying Scyl is the best/one of the best champion ever. People largely understand that she is great when we get her but there are tons of champions that replace her later.

Hephraak is my main nuker. He’s fantastic A lot better than Candy and others

Real good list, I find myself feeling the same way about these Champs. Since the sintranos some are coming up more useful again, they're already built out

Hephraak is a chef's kiss for me. That's because I don't have other best nukers yet and he's easy to build. He can carry an early to mid game account.

I remember when I invested books in narma for team for Ice Golem 25, and like few days after then Hard mode was released :P

Baron is still a stud. He might not be useful in plat or very, very high gold 5 arena, but looking at someone who has that massive damage without any book needed, he is top tier, still.

Hephraak is so easy to counter since I use Armanz and Wukong on most of my arena teams lol

Baron is my Mino farmer :D As someone else said though, it depends where you are with your account. Though I will say I pulled a Brogni on a baby alt and he was not usable in what I could gear him in.

Ouch! My current stable of most used champions includes most of your 'overrated champions'!

Would also love to see one team to rule them all so one team that can perform across all content i.e clan boss including hydra all dungeons ect

i wouldn't. not worth the legendary books IMO.

I think viewers should keep in mind that this list is from the view of an ultra end game player. For the rest of us it's like saying "oh bro, USDA Prime is so overrated, I so much prefer Matsusaka beef at that price point." In other words, all these champs are very much A tier just not the be all and end all of champions. Except Scyl... Yo, my man! How could you betray our girl like that? Haha. Ok hear me out, the reason I like Scyl of the Drakes is because she's essentially my highest damaging support. I use her in Clan Boss every day which I guess is likely not the best idea but she consistently does 4 to 5 million damage, she heals for a ton since I have her in a relentless set and if something goes wrong, she can bring one of my more important champs back from the grave. I don't really have another champ on my roster that can do all three of those things at that level. Of course, I could just really suck at building my other champs but still, Scyl... Damage + heal + revive. Only thing she doesn't do is clear debuffs. If she had that too, I'd argue that she's S tier. TLDR: Overrated champions are great for the average player like me and Scyl of the Drakes is a swiss army knife.

i tried my best to switch my lens out of my usual end game account. i want ppl to temper expectations when they pull some of these champs - yes they are good, some are EXCELLENT but it depends on where you are. and often these names will pop up as "must get" or "god tier" ETC, but in fact they are over stated. scyl has a special place in my heart - she carried my sorry f2p ass so far when i got her. but now shes vault guardian :( anyways i tried to preface best i could these lists bc they are "negative" seem to get more negative reception bc noone likes to have their investment knocked down. I totally get it.

I'm also presuming that you're going to do the other side of the coin for this video? i.e. champs that surprised you in how effective they are? That aside, serious question, who would you replace a Scyl with? If you want healing, a revive and a fairly significant amount of damage.

Under priest Broggni is my favorite champ.

I couldn’t agree more on Hephraak, especially after the Armanz fusion. Even stoneskin Hephraak just gets sheeped and locked out now.

I did personally avoid investing in Hephraak for a while because I was aware of the power creep against him, and this next bit might be cope because I've just started investing in him, but I think if you're trying to push arena at all, with the limited champions you have, Hephraak being decently solid may just be good enough of a reason to invest in him just so you have roster flexibility. My main nukers are Harima and Georgid, and they are built very well in my opinion and are also obviously strong in the meta, but they don't always necessarily fit the scenario I find myself in I feel, or I'm in a position where they are picked/banned. In these cases, having someone as a backup who is decently built and will perform fairly can be nice to have. I also have a couple stoneskin accessories in Demonspawn so I can go 4x stone skin + 4x lethal/savage. Hephraak also shows up in a fair amount of Cursed City stages. I also started investing in Bad-El a bit. Not sure where that will go, but I think I want to eventually have him duo hard dragon.

if someone takes your harima, and you're forced in heph - that is a losing proposition. ideally your 3rd nuker can counter your top 2 nukers in the event 1 gets chosen - if that makes sense. heph still great in lots of content though so you'l get use outa it.

I didn't specifically mean that scenario, but I guess I was just trying to highlight the idea that I think applies to the game in general where a champ might not be top tier, but if they are decent and your account isn't getting any top tier champs any time soon, they could be worth investing. Or if your top picks don't necessarily fit the situation you find yourself in. On that note, would you personally rather have/use a Hephraak or a Shemnath?

ok i understand what you mean. i was hoping by starting the video prefacing with the idea that all champs have a place and will be good depending on account/progress was clear. again i was just trying to commentate on the sentiment of these champs. "oh hes GG", "god tier", etc unwarranted hype is what i was trying to address. anyways, i'll know for the future. i dont have experience with shemnath to be honest. think heph would be better/easier to build/use though.

I think I definitely agree with your picks in the video though and feel that it's good to bring attention to champions that have fallen off to be able to allow players to save resources if they can. I feel that generally players probably have more limited rosters, and I've had to personally overcome the idea of "this champion isn't top tier so they're not worth investing" even as someone who plays the game pretty hardcore and has good options available because they make my account more flexible. When I saw your interview with Ash, it definitely prompted me to think more about who I was investing in with respect to long-term viability. It reminded me that resources are always limited in gacha games which I'd known from previous games, but kind of forgotten in Raid. At the same time, even when you know certain champions aren't the best theoretically, they sometimes might be the options you have to choose for your account at the time to continue progressing because you don't actually know if you'll ever get anything better. That's at least how I've been seeing it so far, but it's always a balancing act because investment of resources puts a temporary dent in your account's economy, and whether the champion actually gives you a return on investment can be up in the air.

appreciate the response - yes its just about balance. a champs time in your progress can be short or if you're lucky you'll find reoccuring value from your investments. with that being said - you have to make that call and evaluate the champs value against your progress. if you are spending the resources on an arena nuker, i'll use baron for example - but you're not set up for UNM clan boss, and have no dungeon farming ability, well then your new baron is going to be a noodle for a long time. maybe never getting value from him bc you might pull something better in the mean time. all because someone said "hype gg he 1 shots things," etc. anyways just wanted to set expections for ppl watching the video on some of the champs - like i said they are all great at some point for everyone.

I think by the amount of times you have used "used to" im not sure if this should have been a "power crept" list instead of overrated. The perceived ratings are all subjective but they do deteriorate as stronger champs come out or newer content that renders these champs useless are released. But some of these champs still have niche uses and is mostly why some players might hold them in their own regard.

You would have made your life a whole lot easier if you titled your vid "10 Legos that got Power Crept!" Overrated is really debatable! nobody really overrates Scyl for example! Nobody says she is the "Top Lego" to get. People just recognize that at the point where you get her, most accounts (certainly F2P Accounts) can make great use of her well into late game (at which point she will have more than justified the resources put into her). Good Vid and I know, understand and even agree with what you are trying to say but as I said, would have been much more fitting if you had gone with "Power Creep" in Title instead of "overrated". I still gave you a Thumbs up though because I think this is going in the right direction and more of this is certainly welcome!

Love these speculation videos, honestly. Obviously you have been lucky with your pulls as this list somewhat highlights that. I'm still without Kymar 3+ years in, but now having Krixia and Yumeko I'm not sure I would even build him. That's the nice thing about being end game, most champs become specialists cause you have a large pool and enough gear, very few general all-around champs at that point. I'd say Emic is my best all-around champ. Teo might be my overrated champ nowadays, which is sad.

teo is a good shout - as much as he is insane for normal content, once hard was released and increased emphasis on end game SD/shogun/time attack - his use cases dropped a lot. His perceived value is still very high - but it depends on progress of course. He should likely belong on this list actually.

When I was new, I built Skyle thinking it was good because Ash. So I appreciate this, it was a waste of books for me, there are many other better champs and I never really needed except Faction Wars (which I have better now also).

This is why we need some sort of wish list for progressive chances that don't expire. Only big spenders are pulling multiple leggos in a single session or if you are very lucky which happens infrequently. A lot of these champs like Brogni and draco would be fantastic for my alt account but 5 years later I pull Sir Nick and Draco and they don't really have the same impact if any. Even champs like Leorius who I pulled every 10x for is so hard countered by Wu Kong and other things means it would be dissappointing to pull him now. TBF I've had some fun with Sir Nick, a couple live arena fights he came in clutch for me but he's not the kind of champ I can rely on in most fights. I don't want to fight an unkillable Wu Kong or Rotos or something.

Agree that Astralith is niche but I don't think you have to be super end-game to use her. She helped me climb the mountain from Silver IV to G1 3v3. My Arbiter (323) was unusable in Silver IV due to lack of speed, so essentially did not have a go 1st team. Put Arbiter w/ Astralith and debuff spreader and now you can match up to a slow tanky Stoneskin team and kill them. It isn't 100% and you have to watch match-ups but highly effective and useful.

Not sure I would say over rated, more like most power crept champions. Hedgey can dominate until the mid game in Arena, however with stoneskin he has been savagely power crept. He is not end game viable anymore. Sir Nick is also insanely power crept but up until late game he is still top tier champion. I have him with a 6* blessing sitting in my vault as an end game player. On any of my alt accounts he would be god tier though. Scyl is also heavily power crept for n end game player but for a mid to late game player she is next level good. My scyl carried me through content but as an end game player she is in the vault. Overrated champions fo rme are end game viable champs that just don't stack up. So for me I have all the Faction Guardian Champs and I have zero real use for them except faction wars. The kits look cool on paper but in actual use are very limited. Fyna for example would be amazing in hydra but there isnt any good combination of champs to make her kit work. Falmond looks like an amazing arena cham but there Sacred Order comps are very lacking. The Banner lord guy again has such limited use that his only real application is in faction wars or banner lord secret rooms. These are to me the most over rated champions in the game.

thanks for explaining - i agree with assessment - i also had the unity champs on my short list as well but i didn't want to include since i didn't have personal experience yet with them. Fyna was someone I was going to speak about since i do have a play test on her under my belt and she was underwhelming. i wasn't sure in general sentiment was that she was "crazy" - so i didn't feel she was "overrated" more so, rated correctly.

Yeah i dont think its overated tierlist but power créateur tierlist, all thoses champions changed my account so much when i pulled them in 2020-2022, but nowadays champions are so busted :/

I use Ukko in one of my Hydra teams in Provoke set. I probably need to find a replacement.

You’re not wrong about Baron but I will say that people underestimate his A1 and how devastating it can be. I like to use him against lockout champs for this reason. I have mine in stoneskin/lethal. It doesn’t hurt that he is 6* ascended tho.

@@BoozorTV for sure, but you are spot on with stoneskin making him much less effective, even reaction gear can mess him up and if he doesn't kill them on that first shot, you're done.

I like heprhak, he was My first good nuker and is one of My Best, but he is súper counterable, a Nice buff would be to replace that crit rate on his A3 for a Crit Dmg buff instead, You want him for his passive so You need 100cr anyways

I love facing Hephraak in arena with my bomb team (Gaius). Heph gets loaded with bombs, one of his team dies, he kills Gaius and the bombs blow everyone up. My goto for arena farming, and Heph is everywhere 😂

Sorry - love your videos - but you are wrong on Baron. I have him in stoneskin, +3, full ascended and he oneshots anyone. Ofcourse removing stoneskin from enemy is important, but same for Leo, Taras and most damage dealers. Baron is top dps as he NEEDS NO SAVAGE AND IGNORE DEF as its built in his kit, so stonekin 2 turns for survivability and right speed will make him a king. Very surprised I run him with 95% win rate with my team - he does not belong on this list. Most overrating comes from Content creators overhyping a new fusion - I think the latest one is worse than Uggo and Scyle - overrated more.

Bad - el oof, Hephraak oooof, Mighty Ukko.....okay, you're clearly in a bad place. Hahaha I love my Ukko, I'll die on that hill. Just teasing, thanks for the vids man.

I was slightly concerned to see astralith in the thumbnail but at least you explained it correctly, i have had her for a long time and never built her but she destroys top defences in plat arena in just a few seconds, she was key to getting #1 in plat but yeah for 99% of players shes pointless to build. Massively agree on scyl of the drakes i think shes the most overrated champ in the game, even when i was early game i never used her much.. shes only a "hard carry" as people say if the rest of the team shes in is just built terribly.

I hate to say this brother, cause I absolutely love your videos and knowledge. However, I started watching your content because I’m free to play. Guess I’ll just go ahead and put it as bluntly as I politely can. You in your own words said you check your account every 15 mins or so during “family” time. You have this down to a calculated algorithm. You’re not free to play, you spend more than 40 hours a week on raid. This is your job. Please realize that you “were” a light for those of us that won’t spend and can only play here and there, totalling a few hours at most to play a day. Please post a video on how to play raid when you are a player like that?

Sorry its not meeting what you were expecting. Not sure what you are looking for. I'm an end game f2p player. My ideas and methods are absolutely still grounded in f2p. I dedicate a lot of time to my account otherwise I wouldn't have such an insane account bc I'm f2p. Me spending time in game doesn't mean you need to. You just need to take my ideas and reasoning and apply them to your own game. Scale them down. You will still benefit from them. Hope that helps.

@@BoozorTV nah man, I get it, and your content is great, the best for non-spenders I think. Just saying that a lot of your early content was not necessarily geared towards crazy end-game stuff. A lot of folks can’t bang out hours a day, and it would be nice if you could also help those kinda free to players with a few clips here and there with tips and tricks to progress in content, like the old days lol. It’s not like I’m leaving or anything, actually, wouldn’t even waste my time to even say anything on most channels, but you always reply and give feed back, no matter who it is, and that in itself is gold to me.

Well I have to say you killed you kind of killed your credibility by putting Scyll on the list. She is hard carry for 80% of accounts. You look on her from position of superiority- you have everything with god tier artifacts. Sure you have better options. But for most of the players - she is still on of 10 champions with highest posible impact on accout. She can carry you through most of the game content reliably. It was thruth on my old account and its true even more on my new account (about 6 month of active play in. Though its old account with some login days colleted.)
