Being impeached and being convicted of impeachment are two different things though and Congress does not have the numbers to do so if voting along party lines. That is why Donald Trump was never convicted during his two impeachment trials. There should no longer be a SCOTUS. There should be something like The Judicial Inquiry Board and the Courts Commission with weigh to manage, over rule, reprimand judges, etc. in each state. And an official Judicial Advisory Board to advise only, for judges, lawyers, and maybe others. I know they're big jobs but a "SUPREME" court no longer works. They're taking their job title name literally.

If President Biden wants every citizen to understand the severity of this presidential immunity ruling by the Supreme Court and how it underscores how dire is the need for Court reform he needs to address the nation on prime time TV from the Oval Office and make it a cornerstone of his election campaign, not make a few offhand comments in the hall. This is not nearly good enough.

The 6 consecutive justices should be impeached. Kavanagh, Gorsuch, Barrett for lying during their confirmation hearings in the senate. Alito and Thomas for accepting bribes and lying about it. And chief justice Roberts for letting his court go rogue.

This country endured a bitter Civil War; it endured two World Wars and an awful depression. It should not be brought down because of one horrendous individual and six sanctimonious boot lickers.

If this ruling was made in any other "normal" year it would have been terrible. The fact that it has been made three and a half years after Jan 6th, is a NIGHTMARE. 44 previous Presidents were able to do their jobs in good times and bad, based simply on the the Constitution and the example of conduct before them. Only Nixon crossed the line. Only a person with criminal past or criminal intent would demand immunity to do whatever they want.

This incident proves that the supreme court in it's current composition isn't free of corruption and needs to be expanded with more judges to reduce the influence of extremists. The number of judges needs to be raised from 9 to 17.

As a Canadian I can’t imagine any of us visiting the US if Trump gets in. We would have no rights. We could be picked out of the security line up and sent away never to be seen. Why I don’t plan to visit Russia, China or Iran. And all because some people didn’t like Hillary.

I'm not American, but I find it curios that a Supreme Court can set such a precedence ... it was my understanding that this court is there to interpret the constitution and not to make new laws ... isn't this an issue for voters?
