I think a lot of watch enthusiasts dream of being able to walk into a great watch store to pick out their own ideal watch collection all at once. In this second watch shopping video, I head over to Hyde Park Jewelers in Denver, Colorado in an attempt to build the perfect watch collection in under thirty minutes with a budget of $30,000, a substantial five grand more than my last round of watch shopping in Omaha, Nebraska.

@@Tourtiere34 I think it pays to be smart, people fall out of love with watches, or they lose their income or similar. @Unknown dude if you aren’t a hoarder and only buy watches to wear, you have to sell from time to time when you want to upgrade or aren’t feeling the love. I never own more than two to three watches, so every time I buy I sell one, it has to be an upgrade. I’m always also conscious life can throw a curve ball, I’m not a trust fund baby. Buying used is simply smart if you know a watch goes down more than AD discounts, which is the case new JLCs (or the Zenith El Primero I got second hand in mint condition), there is no new car smell with a watch.
That Ball, though, strong dial design with long indices and the design of bracelet link also very attractive.

Great choices, Teddy! I really like the route you went with the JLC and the Tissot Seastar. Given the options you had I think both are more unique. I just love that white dial Omega Seamaster and the bronze IWC gives off a great military/vintage vibe. I don’t know that you can make a bad choice with any of the Grand Seiko’s.
Other than some of the case sizes being a lit large for my wrist, I love this collection especially your choice of the IWC Spitfire and the Seastar
It was so nice to meet you dude, glad you came in to the store. Keep it up brother. -Will
That ended up as a great collection. The IWC spitfire made me check out that piece. Bronze really makes it stand out. Plus the JJ master controller and that Seastar stealing the show. Only thing I'd change is the Omega to a different dial. Man, I gotta get 30000.. haha.
Your guy was very helpful and into the process. Great choices, especially the JLC. Killer watch.

A couple of questions Teddy 1) do the stores know that you are coming in a head of time and why (i.e. what you will be doing), 2) do you actually spend $30k in the stores you go to or is it just a 'what you could get for $30k'?
