WATCH: Seattle Kraken end-of-season press conference with GM Ron Francis
WATCH: Seattle Kraken General Manager Ron Francis spoke to the media during a season-ending press conference at the Kraken Community Iceplex Monday morning.
Francis told reporters evaluations are still ongoing about whether there will be changes with head coach Dave Hakstol or any of the coaching staff after the third-year franchise missed the playoffs.
He said the team is still in the middle of examining what happened this season and would not confirm whether Hakstol would return for a fourth year.
Hakstol has gone 107-112-27 in his three seasons in charge of the Kraken.
The Kraken went just 13-16-3 after the All-Star break, and a painful overtime loss at home to Vegas on March 12 brought an end to any reasonable playoff aspirations.

I really enjoyed listening to this breakdown. Thank you Ron for sharing. Building a competitive team is hard, look at the teams in the NHL that are in building or retooling for years. Seattle is doing a wonderful job building a stronger team and our farm system is looking very good. Its hard to win in the NHL, last year was a wonderful ride but an anomaly. I was hoping we would be in the hunt until the end but alas nail biting was not in the cards.

Really look at Vegas. They spent the money unlike Seattle tightwauds
I think that if there isnt improvement next season, there may need to be a new voice behind the bench. Haks is a great coach. But may need a Torts or Knoblauch style coach.
Hakstol was never the right hire from the beginning.
