WATCH: Postal workers use agency trucks to save spots for their personal vehicles

Brooklynite Maureen German recorded this video, which shows a United States Postal Service employee with Park Slope's Ninth Street Post Office move the agency truck she parked overnight on Eighth Street to free up a parking space for the personal vehicle she rode to work in.

The question is, does that office have a dedicated location for the vehicles? I'm not there to see, but ever thought that perhaps they do that to "lock down" a spot for when they return and are able to park the postal vehicle back instead of circling a block after 5 or later trying to find a space for a massive vehicle such as that. Not all offices have adequate parking facilities for vehicles and yeah, have to park in the street overnight. Not every action has nefarious motives

There are no enough parking space in post office parking lot. So these USPS employees are using their personal cars to save the space for the USPS trucks. That's not their fault.

Ma’am, I think you really need to know what these people go through with trying to deliver mail to people like you and me and trying to find parking. Small mail stations does not have designated parking lots or spots. This is a hard job and when you don’t have time to circle the block 14 times because you have to report to work on time, you do what you HAVE TO!!! There’s more important things to work about in Brooklyn alone than worry about parking spots for POSTAL TRUCKS...
