I would be sunbathing in the back yard and they would walk right thru the gate bold as can be to get their ball. None were ever apologetic. Very few were polite. Dad would call the pro shop and let them know so they would get scolded. It was never the regulars.The backs of very nice homes pocked with golf ball dings. You got used to the sounds real fast. Thr roof hits were weird. No telling which way they bounced. Duffers would be combing thru shrubs against the house looking for their balls. You could tell which ones only had the one ball with them--their buddies would be pacing and the regulars would be stacked up waiting to tee off. We lived on the approach to the first hole.

i didnt really understand what he said or what was funny, but that might just be me.
