Yes, Tarah's English is not "up to the standards" of the pageant fans here in the PH but keep in mind that considering MUO's recent change in administration, they are obviously not just looking for a spokesperson for their brand. They want someone marketable, has the face and body for ads, etc. Pinadala na natin si MMD na lumalamon ng microphone and based on her performance during the prelims/finals, wala ka rin namang marereklamo but she wasn't able to advance to top 5 just because mas may lamang sakanya when it comes to face, pasarela and stage presence. Sheynnis can't even speak fluent English and sounds very awkward but she won. Point here is, don't drag Tarah down. She has so much potential. Actually, don't drag any other candidates down kung hindi nyo sila bet kasi at the end of the day, hindi naman kayo ang judge and you have no idea what these women are already dealing behind the camera. Their anxiety, the pressure, the tedious prep, dadagdagan nyo pa ng kanal attitude nyo bashing? It's 2024, we don't do that anymore ☺

Tarah Valencia is not a fast talker compared to other candidates, she's so feminine and gentle.I dont see anything wrong about her com.skills . She's so pretty and humble, i love the way she talks, so classy and sophisticated.With more training and practice in answering questions, im sure she'll gonna make it on top! Rooting her for the MUPH .👌♥️♥️♥️

She is a very courageous woman, and just like what she said, she is an empty cup willing to be filled. Her communication skills are not perfect and she may not be as eloquent as the past MUPH winners, but she is an undeniably strong candidate with huge potential. Good luck Tarah!

Here in Baguio, English is our 2nd/3rd language..Although com skill is her waterloo,, but her face card, pasarela and aura slat themball....laingem kailyan gogogi....bring home the crown...

She’s not as eloquent as the other girls but she can answer. Knowing this MU era they don’t need someone who knows deep communication skills. As long as you can converse and deliver a sensible answer you can be the MU. She’s my MUPH 2024. I’m praying and rooting for you Tarah ❤

oo nanlalamon siya ng Aura na hindi ko nakita sa favorites like Iloilo at Quezon Province. I think Ms. Baguio is very Ms. Universe material. Hope she gives more conviction on her way of delivering speech since very evident pa yung ilocana accent niya. But her English is very neutral so shes very relatable with that part. Just like Pia. Well obviously she's not English accent born and raised like Catriona so don't expect her to be as fluid as Catriona Gray.

Communication skills is great when you’re asked a question but a brand also needs to have pleasing aesthetics to come with it . Beautiful face + avg com skills ( Tarah) > Avg face + average com skills( Michelle D ) . I’m not hating on Michelle but she made the top 10 . Philippines please don’t put this girl on the waiting list. She is ready now and it’s obvious .

Sheynis is not even an eloquent speaker but she won because she has the height & beauty. She was a performer from the start of the competition up to the finals. JKN is not IMG. JKN is looking for someone who has universal beauty & someone who is marketable.

Apart from advocacy ang great communication skills, bigyan din ng weight ang sex appeal. Miss universe is also looking for women with strong sex appeal and magaling in aura and projection.

There are quite a few critics and pageant experts here. Have you watched the interview of the current Miss Universe winner, Sheynnis Palacios? Tara is definitely a stronger speaker. Also, let's not forget Janine Togonon's famous final answer at Miss Universe. I believe the current owner is seeking a fresh face with strong commercial appeal who can generate income for the organization, and above all, a stage performer on the final night. Tara Valencia exudes humility, down-to-earth charm, and relatability, making her an ideal candidate for the next Miss Universe.

She has big potential. But she's not that very ready yet. It's good that she tried this year. Make it a beautiful experience. She needs to work on her speaking voice. She has the thoughts but she needs to deliver it with authority and confidence. She has the teeny weeny twirl the way she speaks which may be construed as a lack of maturity. Likewise, she has to work on her body. She is a bombshell if she loses some more weight in specific areas. Go girl. Slay.

She has the potential to be a MU queen coz she has already the beauty and charisma but she still needs to be train on how to speak strong and with conviction and stop always saying at the start hmmmm...and answer the question direct to the point.

She’s intelligent because she graduated with flying colours but needs lots of practice in communication skills. She’s facialy very stunning but needs to lose weight a bit more. Very trump era Yong beauty.

Philippines crown her ! Don’t over think it ! I live in America and of all the candidates that the Philippines has sent to Ms Universe she is by far the most beautiful including Cat and Pia. I don’t know the beauty standards in the Philippines but she definitely can hold her own in the Americas !

During MUPH 2021 and 2023, I already felt that both Steffi and Krishna (both marketable and bankable universal beauties, special mention Katrina Llegado - 2022 edition) won’t get the crown because they still lack the communication skills that they need to go head-to-head with the more eloquent girls if they reach the Top 5. This time, I am making a fearless prediction for Tara also. She can make it to Top 5 but won’t win the crown, too. Still, I’d love to be proven wrong. I still stand by my word, she’s still raw and it will be her downfall.

She’s pretty but cant hardly get my attention. Her facial expressions don’t connect with what she says. You need to be a good speaker to have a convincing voice that can make positive change. She needs more time and experience to hone her comm skills!

Very lovely but lacks the confidence and eloquence in speaking. More training and exposure will equip her in the next pageants. She reminds me of Venus Raj who kept on saying sir during the Q&A, which showed her lack of eloquence & that also costs Venus the crown despite being a stand out and a favorite of Trump. She might get a minor crown. Her beauty is best for Ms.Internatiional or Ms.Supranatiinal. She could win there. This is not Tara's time yet for Ms.U or Ms.World because they require great public speakers.
