I'll be fair - Milley and DOJ could make those plans without Trump and if they thought such a war was needed, they would have to take it to the President. But the existence of it proves nothing - the Pentagon has war plans that they keep updated for every potentially dangerous nation, or Trump could have ordered a war plan.

These are contingency plans that any military leader would be expected to draw up. Trump wouldn't have to ask for it to be done. It's not the same as actually declaring war.

when I was stationed near Memphis, my son had required reading that he brought home. one such book was called 'black like me.' I read it and it was very eye opening. I was proud of Tennessee for that. now I'm saddened to hear this has possibly changed.

Idiotic suggestion. Even scum like Trump have a right to a fair trial, and that includes producing indictments outlining the charges against him. Justice moves slow, but it does move. Claiming you are sick of the process is like claiming you are sick of "justice for all". That said, considering the latest information about Trump showing off documents, there is an argument for him to be held in custody until trial because he is clearly a threat to national security.

I loved the Jamie Lee Curtis interview. It's hitting personally as well. I'm currently holding my 4 month old little boy who has spent half of his life in the hospital so far (Seattle Children's). They are amazing and are miracle workers. My son was born with critical heart defects prenatally diagnosed and defects found at birth with his trachea and esophagus. He's been under anesthesia 6 times already and they took care of him starting from day one for both the known and unknown defects. The donations to the hospital and clinics help save lives and we are so incredibly thankful for the work it enables the care teams there to do. We wouldn't have our boy without them. He still needs more surgery and it's a life long road but we know it's possible with the help we're constantly surrounded with.

What are the odds that any MAGAt or average Republican voter has watched a single Jan 6th committee hearing? As a Canadian, I watched them all and found them to be completely non-partisan. Not even a whiff of the usual grandstanding and rhetoric common to political hearings in most countries. I watched as Watergate transpired and worked its way through the American system. It too was almost entirely non-partisan. These have been far too few and far between. Herein lies the danger to democracy: where voters are so convinced a hearing will be "business as usual" or believe the "fake news" propaganda and just surrender to a side that says what they want to believe.

The weird thing to me is the tone of voice we hear in those aides that were captured on the tape where Trump brags about his classified documents.
