I won't lie, you have inspired me. I cut my hair short and was not convinced that it could be braided or twisted but - watching you do what you did - your technique just changed my mind.

DXLYN locs hey DXLYN! Love your videos! I’m wanting to start my locs however I’m still in the research process. I’m confused on if I should start with coils or two strand twists. I feel like I have a lot of hair but my strands are fine. I’m a natural and have been for six years now. My hair has a lot of length but when it’s wet you can see how it be fine. When it dries and poofs up I have lots of shrinkage but lots of volume. However, any time I would do styles like braid outs twist outs etc I have to make my hair more voluminous with picking and plucking. I love my hair and I want to loc it up! I just don’t know what route would be best. In the email I sent you a photo of my hair wet to see if you can tell the density of it. And I just watched the vid where you talked about other people answering your emails and what not. My hair grows best when it’s not touched. I learned that when I started to go natural. My hair grew the most under sew ins. That’s what I wore until I seen more length. Any who, just wanted to know your opinion! Sorry for the long reply!

Sorry for the delay I have to find your comment. I think you will be fine with either one. Most ppl choose twist bc they start with long hair or they have a looser texture. If your hair is dense, coils will be just fine even on long hair. If you are going to a loc specialist to started them they should have all of that covered, but be sure to mention all of your concerns before starting with.
