I agree, watching this after the verdict and hearing jurors speak, these commentators on the network are so off on their analysis on how these 1st responders were coming across on cross examination. They were nothing but professional and defense was trying to get under their skin and get them to say something he could pounce on and they didn't take the bait. Calling Sgt. Green just "the tape guy" is insulting and these attorneys (both in court and on the panel) should be ashamed.

This judge I such a wonderful man amazing…. If he was judging a case who the father killed his son and his wife and a couple of weeks before the trial began this judge lost his own son…. he didn’t even have time to grieve… I think he was magnificent kudos to you judge from my heart
Great job 🙏🏻
My dad, who found my brother, checked for a pulse in his ankle/ leg area. He was in shock and really didn’t know what to do. He said he turned in circles on the floor, then grabbed the phone to call me! He then called 911. So, IF he checked for a pulse on his leg, or ankle, that is reasonable given the circumstances! Just like there were no tears. I didn’t cry. I went into a calm- like stance. Almost like a trance, and I was SO calm, that when I called my hisband who was working out of town, his reply to me when I told him my brother was dead, was” Honey, you are scaring me, are you ok?”…. Because of my calmness. Until you have been in those shoes, you do not know what your individual reaction would be! All my mom could do was cry. My dad and I were in a calm stance, and they said I screamed out at the words of my brother being dead, and fell to the floor. But I do not remember that. All I remember is standing up from being on the floor and being the calmest I think I ever was in my life! That is SHOCk. It took months for me to be able to start grieving. And crying. Away from all of my family! Just because somebody doesn’t have tears, means absolutely nothing to me! That is t evidence one way or the other about guilt or innocence. I know this from first hand experience. Jurors who have experienced things like this, will not let those reactions, questions bear much weight.

First of all, I'm very.sorry about your brother. I agree with you that some people react differently to death than what's considered normal and appropriate, or they may just have a delayed reaction because of shock or denial. However, the problem with Alex Murdaugh not shedding any tears is that he was making noises like someone who was crying. Unless he has some kind of dysfunction with his tear ducts, he should've been shedding tears. So if the officer was being truthful, sounds like Murdaugh was faking it. That doesn't necessarily mean he's guilty, but it certainly throws up a red flag.

Yeah…it’s so useless to try and infer someone’s guilt or even level of grief by observing their reaction/behavior in those moments. There’s such a big spectrum of what could be considered normal that it’s impossible to tell. Sorry you lost your brother! Sort of off topic for anyone else that might see this, if you find someone unresponsive/unconscious and you want to check for a pulse, go right to their carotid artery on their neck. There’s a lot of things that can be going on medically/physically that could lead to someone not having a pulse at their wrist, foot or even groin/femural artery. So, just go right to the neck as it’s the only sure way, plus it’s easy to locate. If it’s a newborn or an infant, check the brachial artery which is on the inside of their bicep area. Lastly, call 911 on speaker or have someone else, and immediately start chest compressions and see if someone else can locate an AED.
Alex told the first officer on the scene that he ran back home and grabbed a rifle and came back because he was fearful that the assailants could still be present. They're making such a deal about no blood being on him, and even after revealing he ran back home, not one officer was sent to his residence to investigate there.. My question is did he run home before calling 911, and if so isn't possible he changed shirts at home, and that's why there was no blood on his clothes. With them knowing he ran home and back, it would seem the police would have gone to his residence to investigate.

The lead defense atty is beyond annoying😳
You would think the court should have a more comfortable chair for the witness, besides that wooden school chair.
The first witness, Police officer, Was supposed to secure the scene and extend the perimeter when he was alerted to potential evidence. After he secured the firearm he should had been preserving the scene instead of trying to investigate further. "It wasn't his job". A fire guy pointed out the tire tracks and footprints on his crime scene and he didn't do anything to preserve that evidence? and now he is a detective?

I just miss my cat so much. He died and everyday I want him back. Pet your precious pets tonight.
Why can’t we see the exhibits
The fact that Murdaugh was speaking with people in the gallery wasn’t because of privilege. The same judge in this trial was also the judge in the Nathaniel Rowland trial.( the fake Uber murderer at University of South Carolina). In the sentencing phase, ( responding to a comment from the victims family). the judge states that he believes in the presumption of innocence, which is the reason Rowland was allowed to speak with his family during breaks. And Nathaniel Rowland certainly can not be confused as someone with privilege.

I honestly think it’s insane how long it took the first officer too get there and EMS 20 minutes is insane especially during a emergency, we have what’s called a golden hour which means you have some patients that have a hour to live and you have to get there and get them to the hospital and it’s called a load and go not stay and play.

Do you not understand how it's literally impossible to be able to get there in "less than five minutes" for all police departments??
I think people are afraid to be too close to this family, afraid of any type of retribution....so yes, i agree. They are watching you guys like me 🙂 from a nice, safe distance
So far 2 for 2 in the Hot Cop category IMO

7:17 Okay. 2 for 3.
I was married to a defense attorney for 20 yrs, and let me just say that I have seen how they can get into character as needed depending on the situation & I guarantee you if they were the one on trial themselves in the position Alex is in it would be extremely easy to display whatever emotions were necessary to try & save their own hide just as some do for their clients. Always alot of emotion involved in a case like this & more so when you are the defendant. Very impressionable to the jury to see tears & sadness, but let's just hope they don't let any of it sway their decision & that they focus only on the facts of this case.

*7:06:50* For some reason, every time I try to follow this case, I end up feeling lost and like I have no idea what's going on. It's frustrating because this doesn't normally happen to me. Maybe it's because this case goes much deeper than the murder, as I've heard/read the corruption of his family goes way back and that death seems to surround the Murdaugh family. Maybe it's because I don't know as much about his history as I do others. I couldn't seem to find a wealth of info about him as readily as I could with others such as Sarah Boone and Darrell Brooks. I don't know. It's also frustrating that they're not showing any of the exhibits and that they've got three different camera angles going on simultaneously. Ultimately, I feel overwhelmed and completely out of the loop on this one. Thinking about just moving on to a different case.

Exactly. Not showing the exhibits is really frustrating and almost defeats the purpose of listening to trials. They’ve shown exhibits on many other trials that I’ve watched but for some reason we can’t even get a glimpse at the non graphic ones here.

He is an attorney. He does have a ton of experience. One could surmise, he is paying them to represent him, so they should ask questions he wants them to, as long as it’s relevant.
Sounds like we are going for the OG Sonny Seiler defense strategy. All we need is a cat to walk thru the crime scene

@@JuryBirdie2 right!!! Me too.
This defense lawyer would annoy me if I were a juror. Law enforcement has to walk around the crime scene & mark evidence. They can't levitate around to do it. There is no indication law enforcement was sloppy here. This on & on with every witness shows desperation

It’s up to first responders to secure the scene, record who’s on scene and make sure their is no imminent danger around. They then need to alert CSI to work the crime scene as it’s not their area of expertise. This needs to be done by the ones educated to do so. They contaminated the scene, it’s that simple.

@@aprilwatson8865 well I disagree their is overwhelming evidence against him and his track record reveals he’s already a criminal. 7:20 Why would the defense call the cop supervisor as their witness. He is not helping their case. 😬
I may be commenting early but aren't they going to show anything on screen
Alex's brother said while on the stand that he saw some things at the crime scene that has not been talked about during the trial. Why didn't that raise a red flag? Why didn't anyone ask exactly what he is referring to?
The fire chief went to the scene in his personal vehicle after he was on his way home from work? And he admits to knowing Alec personally, and he refers to the wife as “Miss Maggie” and he’s testifying that he told them about tire tracks that were not marked and may have been destroyed by civilians driving in….I would have had some more questions for him…
@cntslesfabrication

The Chief has a provided take home emergency vehicle which was a Tahoe. He wasn't in his own personal vehicle not to mention he said he was on his way home from work. The fire department provides him with a vehicle because he is on call 24/7/365 in case of emergency service calls like mass shootings and calls like this to respond to them. If he was required to drive from wherever he was to the station and to the scene of the call the response time would be horrible.
@ 8:23:00 (approx)... the defense lawyer says "killers" and Alex's head pops up immediately. He fumbles with the word killers and killer as if he made a big mistake. Just an observation... 🤔

Yess! It’s so ironic.
A general question: what is usually the difference between the tasks that a cop would do versus an officer from the sheriff's office?
You guys haven't even heard the evidence and you already have him convicted. So far what I see is retaliation rather than a father/husband deciding to murder his family.
What's with the smirk on the sons face while talking to the girl when the bodycam footage was on 🤨
If Alex didn’t feel safe while at the dog kennels, why didn’t he just stay at the house “when he went to get a gun”, rather than going back to where the bodies were until first responders showed up??
