It’s crazy to think how similar we are. Two moms showing their babies to eachother in mirrored positions with the fathers off to the side watching. This is amazing.
Kiki...she is a very sweet gorilla with strong maternal instincts. She is also very smart. A mother's love for child is a very strong bond that even transcends across species (I mean humans and gorillas do share 98% of DNA).

This has me in tears. What a beautiful being. She so wanted to love that baby. It's mind boggling to think anyone can harm something so beautiful and sensitive. If anything I hope it raises awareness about the true nature of animals May we protect them and be as beautiful souls as they are

I know, it's disgusting. I really hate most zoos. Sanctuaries I'm good with, so long as they are conserving the species and are given LOTS of room to move around. But imagine being put in a cage and gawked at all day.
The thing is she wants to help mother the baby. That is so sweet. Her motherly instincts are really amazing.

Yes I feel so emotional for this
At about 30 seconds in you see the momma gorrila look at the other gorillas and point to the baby trying to tell her companions to come check out the precious baby
The reflection of both mothers in that mirror. 💖. Let the wild be free from captivity.
Before I comment, I just want everyone to know I agree with all that's been said. It is sad we cage animals and keep them captive. But to me that's for a different video or platform. This video is one of the most BEAUTIFUL, touching things I've ever seen. It's not about a Gorilla and a Human. It's about the Love, the Joy and Pride two Moms have for their babies. Its like proud Father who goes to the nearest watering hole after his wife gave him his first Child. He gives Cigars, shows pictures and buys everyone a round. And for that time it's not about who's white, who's Black. Who's Asian, who's Brown, etc. Its about a group of Fathers forgetting about all the I'll in the world and just enjoying something wonderful. I believe the woman that posted this is so fortunate to have experienced that. I feel she shared this for its Beauty, and a Wondeful message. We can all find Common Ground with something. If we could find it, the world might just be a better, peaceful place.

Although captivity has it's disadvantages and they are certainly very bad there are some upsides. Moments like this for example. The gorilla was looking at humans the same way we look at them thru the glass with wonder and amazement. That was a beautiful sight of bonding between parents. We all share this planet and come from it. We are all different and very much the same. We all know it and still fight it. It's stupid.
I think in that moment an interspecies understanding of being different and the yet the same was shared without saying a word between the two mothers. That was truly remarkable. We all share this planet.
Omg this makes me feel so emotional. They're so cute...

I was thinking something similar; that it's too bad we couldn't see the reaction of the gorilla to the human baby without the glass in between. Unfortunately, it is too dangerous to risk an accident or misunderstanding. It might be fine, but she is still a wild animal. It's such a lovely moment, two mothers showing each other their babies.
How could anyone want to kill a gorilla smh. I LOVE this video. Made my tears come down. Gorillas are gentle loving creatures. Being in zoos protect them from harm. God bless all of the Gorillas all over the world🦍❤️🙏🏽

This literally makes me so sad. This is a beautiful moment but it really makes you think these animals have so much more thought and personality than we will ever know. And to have them behind a glass for the rest of their life while they experience these complex emotions…I hope they are able to understand what’s happening to them

Some zoos keep animals for rehab and then send them back to the wildlife. Other zoos house animals that were rescued and have injuries that wouldn’t enable them to survive out in the wild. But I do agree that keeping perfectly healthy animals behind glass is robbing them of their freedoms. If you see an animal that clearly wants out then it’s best to just let them go. Sometimes you can tell.
The gorilla is looking so helpless, Why keep this beautiful animals in cage 😭😭

Animals are people too. That's why I have been a vegetarian, no meat, no fish for 40 years. I don't want to kill and eat my fellow Earthlings. Animals have souls too.
@07Loy07
3 жыл бұрын
Why just vegetarian and not vegan? Are you aware how the dairy and egg industries work? It's arguably even worse than just murdering them for meat. Cows obviously need to be pregnant to produce milk, just like us, so they are forcefully impregnated every year. Their babies will be stolen from them in less than 48 hours after being born. Over time their bodies will produce less and less milk and as such they will become unprofitable for the farmer and they will be send to slaughter. This usually happens after about 5 years. (Cows can live up to 25 years). Chickens are selectively bred to produce about 300 eggs a year. Naturally they only lay about one egg a month. It's their reproductive cycle. An unfertilised egg is basically a period. (Imagine as a woman going through your period 300 times a year). Their bodies are under so much stress, just like cows, and just like them they will become unprofitable and be send to slaughter as well after about 1.5 years. (Chickens' lifespan is about 10-15 years). And don't forget about the babies which are stolen from their mothers. If they're female they will go through the same process as their mums. With chickens, if they're male they will be murdered just hours after they have been hatched. Since they can't produce eggs and as such are useless to the industry. They'll either be thrown into a giant blender alive or put inside of a gas chamber. Male calves are obviously also useless to the dairy industry. They will either be killed at birth or raised to be murdered when they're less than a year old and their corpses will be sold as veal.

@07Loy07
3 жыл бұрын
@@random_stranger185 Obviously this isn't a serious response, but I'll humour you. There is certainly a difference between being alive and being sentient. It's just silly to compare chopping up an apple to chopping up a conscious individual with a personality, who has the ability to feel, to suffer. Even if someone actually cares as much for plants it would still be less harmful to plants to stop eating animal corpses and their secretions. Most food we grow is fed to animals. By not eating animals we stop harming them and also less plants will be eaten in total. Animal agriculture takes up 77% of all agricultural land and has destroyed insane amounts of habitats. By stopping our exploitation of animals we free up that land. We can re-wild it and give it back to nature so even more plants and wild animals can flourish. Some questions for you. Why do you feel the need to respond this way? Do you have any justification for the trillions of innocent individuals who are unnecessarily murdered every year? We don't need to eat animals to live, in fact it's very unhealthy for us to eat them (our leading causes of death are from diseases we get by consuming animals, such as heart disease, various cancers, diabetes, etc...). We're essentially destroying the lives of trillions of innocent individuals every year, decimating the environment along with it and ruining our health. All that, just for sensory pleasure, for our taste buds.

animals are not meant to be behind glasses..
Why didn’t that women put her hand up on the glass? It’s apparent that is what the gorilla is saying….not only wanting to show off her baby!!!
Respected wildlife conservation officers and politician.. Pay more attention to the natural habitat rather that making a world class zoo for the poor animals.

I don’t think she'd do it intentionally. For every Harambe, there are stories of toddlers slipping into enclosures and gorrillas either guarding them until a human comes to retrieve them or gently scooping them up and taking them over to handlers and passing them off. Babies are so fragile though, physically, and I'd be worried about germs.
Gorillas steal each others children all the time
Sad we humans are real animals keeping other species behind chains
Is anyone else thinking rn zoos are out of date and should be abolished??
Idk y buy it hurt to see these creatures locked up at anytime. I think this shows how much we are alike,and these animals just don’t have the will to develope speech,and languages,but imagine if they can be taught and we have medication to help,but science and the elites will keep us from thinking their nothing more then this. I honestly think their another form of humans that has been enslaved from the beginning of learning a language an speech and we just beat them to it and they stayed with a mindset of a child never taught anything more but to walk and figure things out.
Gorilla: Moves his hody Everybody: Awwwwwwwwww
Then a few years later, the mom drops the baby in the enclosure and we got harambe the sequel.
