If phil was 25 when the chap was 19 would there be such a big deal made or of phil wasn't gay and it was a 15 year old girl at the time of meeting then 4/5 years later they had an affair phil would be a legend not a pedo. My brother has been using the same trick to get away with his vile behaviour and make everyone forget about his deplorable actions ever since he was 15. Jamierenaut, my mother is exactly like that too! Faking overdoses threatening suicide if things don’t go her way or if she has been caught out on a lie etc… it’s the most soul destroying thing to deal with someone like that. Dealing with her for almost 50 years has learned me a lot and what traits to look out for in other manipulating narcissists so that I don’t waste my time in the hope of “changing” them for the reality is that they won’t change! The thing is as a teenager you just don’t realise how weird it is for older adults to even WANT a relationship with someone so much younger. But now I’m past the age of 25 and realise “oh wow yeah younger people’s brains really aren’t fully developed huh” and even in my twenties the thought of dating an 18 yr old is very unappealing like why would I want to do that?! So for someone in their 50s/60s to feel okay with a relationship with someone so much younger is just fundamentally not right, like they’re missing some kind of moral compass
