Worth noting that a split seconds chronograph does more than just let you measure two times at once. One hand measures the total time elapsed while the other measures a "split" time. This extremely useful in racing events where you want to track the racer's total time as well as their individual lap times.

2:50 Swiss Federal council approved the logo in 1880. But it looked nothing like this. Brand elements from that patents are still included, but it hardly satisfies their claim. I’m confident Vacheron & Constantin could legally usurp Longines if they were so inclined for the rights to make such a claim having looked at the patent documents. Either way, interesting stuff. Coming from a former brand marketer turned F1 loud mouth. And a major fan of watches I can’t afford. Thank you for the catharsis.

@@AA-ke2ns From the website I found out that it has two modes. Mode 1 goes for 5 mins and stops for 25 mins. Mode 2 goes for 5 mins and then stops for 5 mins.

I thought perpetual calendar watches couldn’t account for leap years when it’s a 400 year (no leap year on 100 years but there’s is on a year divisible by 400) so after 500 years it would be off by at least 1 day.

I don’t know when the USSR "took Germany“. The Soviet Union occupied the eastern part of Germany after 1945 alongside the other members of the allied forces. Yes Germany was beaten by the Allies but at no point, Germany was "completely taken“ by the Soviets.

So glad i recently watched The Fall and practiced hearing AND understanding irish accents at the same time. 🤣🤣
