Well not solely, he left pretty early on but the groundwork he laid definitely shines through. Brilliant artist.

And I thought it was motion capture. Comparatively the movements look more realistic than motion captured videos.

I know! And I don't know what it is about it, but there were so many points in the trailer where I was thinking... "Is this all live-action? Is it really stylised animation? Is it mo-capped? It can't be, it both looks too real and too stylistic" I'd love to learn more about this whole process Alberto uses, my best guess would be that the combination of 1:1 reference footage, but not being bound by that, as you are with motion capture, is what adds that extra level of realism.

Might be cuz the actors (for lack of a better word) are doing their jumps and flips by the book and very perfect, where as the animated chick looks like she's just winging it. Know what I mean?

You know what...I might be wrong but i think you are loosing personality of actors when not using motion capture, i mean all your characters starting to move like a "toy soldier" all in the same animated moves and patterns, you could easily see it in this trailer, but of course you could animate your characters more detailed

@@igor.luvsic It all depends on how you go about it - animators that specialise in character animation can get amazingly expressive performances out of their videos, but the same can be said of skilled mocap actors. It varies from situation to situation, but for one example I remember Guillermo Del Toro saying how he asked all of the Kaiju and Jaegers in Pacific Rim to be hand-animated rather than mo-capped, as mo-cap wouldn't demonstrate the weight and scale of them that animators could put in by hand. For human characters, what better animation type than 1-1 human movement, ie mocap, but with a more stylised format like this, the hand animation with live reference to fall back on gets a nice quality to it, imo

Genuinely one of the coolest trailers I've seen.

I love watch dogs and I love cyberpunk stuff so this game looks amazing

"I remember there were these beautiful black cabs, and these guys knew the city by heart without the need of a navigation map." The "Knowledge of London" is the worlds hardest and most demanding training course for taxi drivers. Getting to drive the iconic "Black Cab" requires, on average, 12 "appearances" over the course of 34 months. Nearly unchanged since 1865, the test requires that, without the aid of GPS, map or instructions from a controller, a cab driver has to know no less than 320 routes through London, covering some 25 thousand streets, as well as the "points of interest" along and within 1⁄2 mile (800 m) of each end of those routes including squares, clubs, hospitals, hotels, theatres, embassies, government and public buildings, railway stations, police stations, courts, diplomatic buildings, important places of worship, cemeteries, parks and open spaces, sports and leisure centres, places of learning, restaurants and historic buildings. During training, a "Knowledge Boy" or "Knowledge Girl"will run these routes on a scooter, with a map clipped to the handlebars, detailing what is along and aside the route of the day. Each one will then make an "appearance" at the TfL, or Transport for London, where they will be given two points of interest. You know seeing the London Underground in this amazing peice of art makes me sad you can't go in to the station and ride the train through London - and instead we can only fast travel. Ubisoft, please add working trains or the illusion of train travel - though make sure to focus on improving what you have already.

Thats kinda weird.. in Watch Dogs you could travel in the metro as far as i remember and also in AC Syndicate by train. You sure there is no option like this in Legion ?

@@PsychoCrow I know it's weird, but I checked recent gameplay and they mentioned using the London Underground's entrances as fast travel as well as gameplay that indicated no button prompt meaning it was optional.

@@PsychoCrow The video I got this information from is 'Nine incredibily british things you can do in Watch Dogs: Legion' by Eurogamer. The footage is near to the end of the video and is played off like a positive, but it definitley breaks the immersion and sense of scale you get as you traverse this detailed and dystopian London.

@@JamesTheFoxeArt I agree - at least put in a fast travel animation, though it shoudn't be too hard to get a train working as the main obstacle of making one is having to render places quickly as you pass them and most trains in London are underground with nothing viewable through windows except other passing trains.

Yep! These guys are mad men 😂 I remember when The Witness came out last year, most people thought it was live footage of actors with proper post production and how many people couldn’t believe it was all hand animated and there wasn’t even a motion capture involved. Alberto and his team are the true masters of their craft.

Just finished Watch Dogs 2, I really enjoyed it. Hope they make some references to Marcus and the gang in Legion I like how they upgraded the melee system and gunplay, all I need is a longer story with more sidequests

But not impossible Rockstar games take 8 years to make game like RDR2 and its masterpiece so much detailed. Ubisoft can makes better game than Rockstar. Ubisoft make so many games in 1 years only . If they all focused on one 1 game only and take 7 or 8 years to build it. It should be much more detailed than Rockstar games

Watch dog 2 graphics are better than Watch dog legion I love we can play as any chracter but after completing story missions we will be bored If they realse game later with much better graphics If we freeroam in city look more real but you were also right Some people don't like this.
