You’re sure there wasn’t any glitches in the game that’s probably the reason why one of those missions those enemies didn’t attack you because one of these guys you knocked down had a bodyguard next to him he did attack you when he was looking behind

OK, guys, I see none of you have serious objections to the video quality, so I'm gonna give my full Watch Dogs playthrough a go. Although I'm still going to wait for the performance-fixing patch Ubisoft promised 2 weeks ago. As soon as the patch is out I'll start recording. _The current plan for the playthrough is this:_ *1) Try to play as stealthily and non-lethally as possible.* Use only melee to deal with enemies. This option is not always available, but I think I can complete the whole game with less than 10 kills. *2) Keep hacking to an absolute minimum.* So no traffic lights switching to stop pursuers. No environmental accidents. And no free money and no system keys from citizens. Which means: *3) I'll have to go through the game only picking up the money and system keys I can naturally find in the world.* I think this should keep resource management interesting, as I won't be able to afford enough Blackout gadgets to solve every chase or stealth encounter (they're really really good for the non-lethal style, but too unbalanced). And last but not least: *4) Try to come with creative and unexpected ways to get through the game.* I'm sure most of you played the game yourselves or watched a playthrough, so you should know how the missions play out normally. I wanna try to surprise you with some some hilarious/stupid/glitchy stuff, even if it sometimes means playing in a non-challenging way. (Just for starters, I know of a way to end most chases you have do in the story in less than 5 seconds, and it's super silly but fun.)

*Question to all viewers:* were you bothered by the stutters and low framerate in this video? Personally, I got used to playing at 20-25 fps on lowest graphics settings, but I realize to some of you that may look terrible. I'm asking because I want to make a full Watch Dogs playthrough and if too many people are unhappy with the video quality then I won't bother. And I know I can fix this problem by upgrading my PC, but it's a 500$ investment that I can't afford right now.

The low framerate didn't bother me at all, I did enjoy the video despite the sutterings and low graphics. :) I would be very happy to see a full walkthrough on your channel, especially if maybe you'd it in realistic difficulty and fully stealthed or something like that. (Btw I apologize if my english is not very correct :P)

+Patrick Matlin: I would get detected by that sniper on the other side of the bridge if I tried to knock down the target where he stood (or even inside the container where I'd thrown the first lure). Snipers in this game have insane vision range.

like a boss I did the same last mission as you in my run of the hideouts. I used blackouts though less noise makers and knocked everyone out without alerts.

You mean the 15th one (Decapitated)? To unlock it, you need to finish Act 3 and complete the Human Trafficking encounter at the cemetery (hack the dude talking on the phone).

The Knock out x amount of Targets Side Missions in the Bad Blood DLC are a bit harder as many have the Big Enforcer Dudes, which often go around 2-5 or so at a time. If the Target is part of that Pack, forget about running up and knocking them out.

Opinions on the stealth mechanics? I played the large part of this game stealth lethal but tried to be non-lethal at key story points. Does being non-lethal make a difference when it comes to character interaction in the story? (e.g. Did Role Models change for you?)

By itself the stealth is nothing special. Competent cover-based mechanics with some fresh ideas (like utilizing cameras for recon + hacking people directly to distract them), but mostly it's just a hodgepodge mix of different parts from latest Splinter Cell-s and Assassin's Creed-s. Unfortunately, it's nowhere as precise as Blacklist and lacks AssCreed's gadget variety. One thing I dislike the most is that you are forced to play the stealth segments with one eye on the radar, because enemies' vision orientation does not correspond to their physical model. Watch the guy at 0:42 in this video to see what I'm talking about -- his icon (i.e. the representation of the actual AI you're interacting with) lags behind his 3D model (which should have spotted Aiden in that situation) by more than 90 degrees. And there are lot of similar animation inconsistencies. What also sucks is that if you're spotted you have no ways of managing the big crowds non-lethally, so you're limited to hiding and waiting out. Makes missions with forced detection very difficult to complete without kills. Normally I wouldn't bother with a game like this, but I don't play a lot of open-world stuff and it was a fun diversion. As for the playthrough I'm planning to do, while it's not going to be as technically impressive as my other stuff, I think I can make it an interesting exercise in breaking the game in fun ways, even when there is no stealth involved. To answer your second question -- no, the story doesn't react to non-lethal approach _at all_. The Role Model scene didn't change, but then Aiden's nephew had all the right to be terrified of his uncle who's just beaten 15 armed men into unconsciousness with a stick :) So that one was OK. There is a more aggravating example: when you're storming Iraq's stronghold ("By Any Means Necessary") you can avoid killing 100% of the enemies before getting to the boss and then the game acts as if you massacred everyone in the building -- all the while there are guys walking around alive and well in the adjacent room. Same situation in all other elimination missions.

I had a lot of fun with it, but then I don't play a lot of open-world and GTA-style games, so I wasn't burned out on this type of stuff. I wouldn't say it was a big letdown. Just nothing revolutionary, simply a solid game. Best way to describe WD is "Assassin's Creed with cars&guns", as they share a lot of things (parkour, missions' structures, unlocking towers), the main difference being that WD is much harder: police chases can be really tough until you learn all the tricks and you die in 3 shots on highest difficulty. The hacking of the city infrastructure is done very well. And I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I heard it's pretty great. By itself, stealth aspect is not very good (see my reply to The Twiton below) and also similar to Assassin's Creed, with some modifications.

I cant seem to find the 15th one. I believe the one I'm missing is the pier one. It isn't on my map is there something I'm not doing?

I believe once you have completed Act 3 you should get access to all available missions, but the game unlocks them at random. All you can do is either 1) wait until you unlock the hideout through the remote profiling or 2) find a place with a lot of civilians and keep running around scanning them. It could take an hour or two, depending on how lucky you are.

could you try all of them with only a silenced pistol to kill all the enemies? It's very fun slowly picking them off with headshots and I think it would make a great video

I would love to do a playthrough for it, even though I'm a bit cautious about the game. Stealth mechanics in Sniper Elite 2 were terribad and shooting people in the nads can only entertain you for so long. If SE3 hasn't improved upon that then I most likely won't bother with it.

В целом игра мне понравилась, хоть стелс и так себе. Очень сильно напоминает Assassin's Creed, только с пушками и тачками. Но я не особый эксперт в open-world играх (играю в них раз в 3 года), так что тебе лучше спросить у кого-нибудь, кто в этом жанре разбирается. Игра не глючная совсем, кстати. У меня ни одного вылета или бага в прохождении не было, но, как я слышал, игра тормозит даже на дорогих машинах за 3000$, а у некоторых и на старом железе идет 60 fps. У меня fps скачет между 20 и 40. Тут как повезет. Мой совет, если игра будет тормозить, -- подожди следующего патча. Ubisoft обещали хреновую производительность исправить в течении нескольких недель после выхода.

TheMidavchik Гы, у меня почти та же ситуация. Phenom X3 8450, 4GB и 660Ti. Если у меня идет на средних настройках, то и у тебя должна. Правда, придется играть на минималках и мириться с постоянными тормозами, когда ездишь по городу.

Ага, напомнило мне полеты на картонных коробках и огнетушителях в Human Revolution. В игре еще можно заниматься экстремальным авто-серфингом, если изловчиться и забраться на крышу чужого автомобиля в нужный момент. Когда буду делать прохождение, обязательно прокачусь хотя бы раз таким манером.

I love how you go about the games as stealthily and non-lethal as possible, but isn't possible to go about it non-lethally even with hacking? I mean, the game is supposed to be that you hack shit. So, yeah. That would be cool.

***** Yes, it is possible complete 95% of the game without killing anyone while hacking (almost) everything in sight. I didn't hack much in this video, but if you watch my full playthrough you'll see that I did use non-lethal hacks and blackouts on several occasions. The reason I didn't hack very often is because I very rarely *needed* to. And playing without making any unnecessary moves while spending minimum amount of resources is kinda my thing - and it's about as important as playing stealthily and non-lethally. In fact, it is THE most important, since there are quite a few people who make stealth/non-lethal playthroughs, but almost no one else does them in the same minimalist style as I do. So that's not gonna change. Besides, you are not really "supposed to" hack anything in the game unless you are explicitly told to do so. You are just given the goals and are free to achieve them as you see fit. If you don't like my approach to achieving those goals, then I'm sure you can find some suitable alternatives elsewhere on KZread.

One of the first PC games I played was Hitman: Absolution (late PC gamer) and that shaped the way I played ever since, so I very much appreciate your style. In fact, this led me to upload a few videos of my own game play for AC: Unity because all of the walk through videos I saw were all for fumbling around and fighting every enemy in sight. (Although mine is still a bit far off minimalist.) I'm sorry if this came off the wrong way and I haven't watched your walk through fully so it's helpful to know you used non-lethal hacks, most importantly because that is what I meant. I didn't mean the blow stuff up hacks, just the ones you mentioned you used. I seriously love your gameplay, by the way, very much, and I'm not just saying this to placate your seemingly offended reply to my comment. I've been a fan since your Hitman playlist came out. My comment was supposed to be a question, not a suggestion :)

It's just that when someone says things like "yeah, that would be cool", it is usually subtly implied that they expect you to drop what you're doing and do as they say. If you have criticisms and want to avoid any misunderstanding it is always better put them into simple straightforward statements. Like "I love your style, but I think it's inappropriate for this game. It's so much more fun when you use all the tools at your disposal and hack stuff! Don't you agree?" Same meaning as what you have said in your post, only it doesn't come off as patronising, because it speaks from a personal experience and not from some dubious theoretical standpoint of how the game is supposed to be played. That's just a honest advice, no offense intended. Take care.

Unfortunately you dont get rewarded for all those stealth tactics in this game. A noob who will run in guns blazing will get more points than you will for all the time and patience you put in you smart attacks which is obviously the correct way to do it since the character is relying on software more than old school run and gun scenarios.

It's not like XP matter much past the level 20 anyway after you unlock the main skills. If you really need to level up you can always go stop a random crime-in-progress, with each giving you 500 XP for non-lethal neutralization, which is about the same as shooting up a whole gang hideout.
