Even after 5 years, this game still holds up. I can’t believe they went from this masterpiece to WD legion, Ik it was a different studio department, but c’mon man. This game is amazing, and will always have a special place in my heart, it’s just got such a nice and somewhat calming vibe to it, and I’m so glad that it’s still alive. The first two watch dog games will always be flawless imo.

After this game and also Legion i already started thinking the next one would be called Watch Dogs: identity crisis. Haha. We went from a wasted cool ideal of a vigilante to a hipster and then to no protagonist.

ubisoft are KNOWN for releasing games with bugs... always they release in "pre-alpha stage" - I know I'm exaggerating here, but ubisoft still has to learn a lot from other guys in the market. All of their games I ended up returning after 1-2 days. I brought two so far, from now on... they will have to pay me to get any of their products. Regardless of how the trailers are looking. Bethesda are light years ahead of these guys.

Honestly, this game was probably one of the best games I've ever owned. The story is amazing and actually fun. The map is the perfect size and the characters are just fun to interact with. In the little cut scenes you can feel the bond between the characters. I'm definitely late for a review but I wanted to show my love for this game. The trailer makes me wanna play the story over again.

you know, the thing about this game, is that it wants to mimic the real world and mock the idiotic things we do sometimes, that's what we see in the trailer, did you ever noticed that the music is playing the hole time and there is no dialog of any NPC or somethin?, sure, on the actual game we have a cast of characters and they are all good or at least ok. The way this game catches your attention, it just wants you to have fun. I feel like the developers in the end realized they had a good product and just put a bunch of things for you to really fell like you're in the game. It's full of style and charm and it felt like a finished product on launch. It had a lot of extra things for you to do, like collectables, looking at peoples lives, even the side quests were all good. No cheesy or corny moments on the story, it was pretty much a good game, not wonderful but definitely like an 8/10 at least 7/10, any lower than that means you don't really enjoy these types of games.

That awkward moment when you've been spamming Ubisoft videos with downgrade comments and then it turns out the game isn't downgraded

Well there is an obvious downgrade in textures in the environment + models and animations being a tad bit buggy, but neverthenless, it does a good job on being a sequel to Watchdogs.

Why can't they make an ad-friendly adblock? As in, we don't have to see the ads, but the server will 'think' we've seen it, and whoever is supposed to be paid will get paid. So, we save our time, and they still earn. Everyone's happy! :P

Negan wow, talk about putting words in people’s mouth. All he said was that the trailer was really good and if we had more trailers like this, it would be better. And I tend to agree. That being said, this sentiment doesn’t all suggest that he does not care about the game and how good it is. Good trailers like this just make you want to play and support the game because it shows they care and are willing to put effort and creativity into the game but the trailer as well.

The GTA 6 trailer just leaked and it looked pretty similar to the aesthetic of this one in my opinion. The main difference being this is fully CG and that one is real-time rendering which is astonishing!

Every cinematic trailer has that. That's why it's called "cinematic", and says captured in-engine, not in-game. It is meant to look good to appeal. Ubisoft is not the only one that does that.

This game was truly underrated. To me, this game was the happy medium- it wasn’t too serious and dark like WD1 but had likeable characters in the story where Legion kinda washed out. Not to mention, the Bay Area was a great city setting. Definitely my fav of the 3.

ps4 fosho The first one was a "little" disappointing. But it wasn't bad. It just wasn't what we wanted. We wanted a full polished game, but Watch_Dogs was really an experiment. It was like the first Portal - it played around with its gameplay mechanics, showed what it could potentially be and do, and then progress from it with the second game.

This trailer portrays a city's culture and vibe like no other I've seen till now. It's amazing.

No. It's not possible to do. It might be dones inside the engine, but it is definitely not real time. See the motion blur? The crisp clear lines and borders? And overall the amount of detail? It's not jet possible in real time. And for the textures and models - I guess they first make it briliantly beautiful and clear, but then downgrade it so it runds on pcs. It _might_ be possible to achieve similar graphics for moder pcs, but it would require much optimization that just isn't worth the money - after all, only very few players would have such a pc.

Watch Dogs 2 is the best game made by Ubisoft in a long time, and is the best Watch Dogs game period. Instead of a very futuristic sequel like Watch Dogs Legion, a direct sequel with the same characters form the second game, would have been much better.

Yea but the fog isn't there, the npcs are hella lame, you don't get any 'crime detected' locations like in the first Watch Dogs, no betting like WD1 neither, but other than that it is a grat game but it would be better if it had more things.

After watching the GTA trailer I decided to come back to watch this and my God the leap in technicality is astonishing. this is just the Cinematic while the trailer for GTA VI is literally in-game footage and they give off similar vibe. again this is a cinematic trailer while GTA VI is Real Time rendered!

they did show gameplay during the world premiere though. Graphics don't matter anyway. Seriously I'm so sick of children who care about the graphics. Let the actual gamers who don't care about looks and care about story enjoy the product. I think it'll be fine. Rant over.

It's amazing how this game starts to become old and captures essence of 2016 perfectly. Obsession with drones, cardboard VR, cool HQs in Silicon Valley...

you know, the thing about this game, is that it wants to mimic the real world and mock the idiotic things we do sometimes, that's what we see in the trailer, did you ever noticed that the music is playing the hole time and there is no dialog of any NPC or somethin?, sure, on the actual game we have a cast of characters and they are all good or at least ok. The way this game catches your attention, it just wants you to have fun. I feel like the developers in the end realized they had a good product and just put a bunch of things for you to really fell like you're in the game. It's full of style and charm and it felt like a finished product on launch. It had a lot of extra things for you to do, like collectables, looking at peoples lives, even the side quests were all good. No cheesy or corny moments on the story, it was pretty much a good game, not wonderful but definitely like an 8/10 at least 7/10, any lower than that means you don't really enjoy these types of games.

Bro... Literally my point of view, but everyone keeps trashing on these ubisoft game cuz of the graphics and repetitiveness. I mean, If I was being honest the most fun I've ever had is from Ubisoft's games, they always have these Colorful ideas and good mechanics in their games, and I've played almost every game made by Ubisoft since I was little, Except for Crew 1, 2 & Watch Dogs Leigon. Watch Dogs 2 and every farcry game has a special place in my heart and memories.

No matter how's the game like, this cinematic trailer is great.

It's because The E3 2012 Revival had much more sharper & realistic looking Graphics than the Released Game. To add insult to injury those nicer looking Bata Graphics where still there in the Source Code of The PC Version waiting for a Hack/Debugger Person to discover them and then share his findings with the rest of The Internet... A lot of People haven't let Ubisoft Live It Down since...

When I watched the GTA VI trailer it immediately reminded me of the quality and feel of these graphics. Funny how Ubisoft needs to make a CGI/pre-rendered trailer to make it as good as this while Rockstar makes a real-time trailer that looks like this using the game's ACTUAL engine.

Why would they go the Ubisoft route to potentially get hated? 🤣 Knowing Rockstar's history of actually making their trailers using their engine AND THEN even making the graphics of the retail version better than the trailer is what they're known for. GTA V. RDR2.
