We need a massive majority in the senate to increase the number of justices, introduce term limits, and enforce an ethics code. In a democracy we have to work to enact change.

. One of the rules bestowed on this retired federal government employee was, we were not allowed to accept "tips" over $20. Whether that was a local or national rule I'm not sure. That has to be written somewhere. If it was 'good for me, it's good for thee". I also waitressed, and did housekeeping before I worked for the government. Good service, good tip. The only problem i have with not liking that decision is that US has institutionalized money as being speech. You can petition the government, with speech, yes, but with money as well. More likely to learn a few things from the national enema we will get sooner than any spoken (or influenced by money?) lesson.

Oh, no, I disagree. The SC certainly doesn't want to make financial corruption or otherwise, acceptable for all. Only for the wealthy or connected. Not for everyday Americans! If your average oerson did what that Politician did, and took theur conviction to the SC, they would have absolutely have upheld the conviction. They want certain People to be allowed to get away with anything, especially Republican Politicians and wealthy people (probably unless they were outspoken or activist's against Republican corruption).

Wisdems is very organized and can take calls from anywhere.The SCOTUS problem can be solved by a huge majority in congress so that we can add new seats to the court, impose term limits, impose a set number of nominations from each presidential term, and instituting and enforcing a code of ethics.
