Watch as Poland celebrated Armed Forces Day with a military parade on Tuesday 15 August.
More than 2000 soldiers and hundreds of tanks, fighter jets and other military vehicles paraded through Warsaw for the annual event that commemorates Poland’s victory over the Soviet Union’s Red Army in 1920.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has made boosting the armed forces a priority for the country’s ruling nationalists Law and Justice (PiS), and with the election campaign in full swing, the immense display of military hardware provides a chance to burnish their security credentials.

As a Dutch, with Polish family, it's both beautifull and scary to see. Scary in a way realising why aren't we, the Netherlands, aware and building up too, and beautifull to see Poland honoring their "never again", where others forgot their "nie wieder" I am thankfull for Polands actions in WW2, the sacrifices they made liberating The Netherlands. And i am thankfull for Poland now, a strong ally and powerhouse in Europe and NATO. I hope that we, The Netherlands, soon make a step in the right way too, into Polands footsteps. Because the Netherlands has chosen not to embrace letting people know how to use fire arms and having a national guard. People pre-trained voluntarily with firearms and guerilla tactics that work in our environment. After all violence is strictly prohibited, even when necessary. The weakness and the lack of willingness to perform civic duty is infuriating. After all, civic service has died when we embraced the free market the way it is. Nationalism is dead and can you blame us, what is there about our country to love and most importantly sacrifice for. You don't even get the opportunity, unless you make it your vocation with mostly low paid wages. It isn't even economically viable to sacrifice time from work or family.

If you think that Russian troops occupied Poland then answer me why they never intervened in the events of Gdansk in 1981 when "solidarnots" was rioting and General Yerouzelski took power. There were Soviet bases 32 km from Warsaw that didn't get involved. Poland was called the People's Socialist Republic of Poland which unfortunately now has become the P.P.A the Polish Puppet of America.

Wonderful parade, great organisation and logistics for ground troops, vehicles and airplanes, so many equipment shown in such a short time, true skills of Polish army and civil management. I'm proud to live in Poland and be a Citizen of this Country. Thanks to present party we can have modern army equipped in NATO advanced weaponry. It costs a lot but this money is well spent. I fully support the actual Government and their expenses. PS. cool moment in 1:11:30 commanders saluting in a queue, perfectly done. Polish Army we are with you, we salute you!

Thank you so much. One detail: for Ukrainian "slava" (glory) we in Poland use "chwała" (spelt: hvala). "Chwała Polsce" ("Glory to Poland"). Slava in Polish means fame.

@@marekes931 Lepiej mieć z mózgu pastę czerwoną niż czarną. A tak na poważnie, to dziwnym trafem w naszej historii dostawaliśmy baty od innowierców, heretyków, pogan i różnych takich. Bóg polityką się nie zajmuje. Szczęśliwe i bogate są te państwa i narody, zlaicyzowane, które nie odnoszą się do Boga, Maryji i wszystkich świętych.

Mongołów i Tatarów goniliśmy, Turków zlaliśmy tak, że do dziś szacunek mamy, protestanckich Szwedów też pognaliśmy, i kacapskich pogan sto lat temu też pognaliśmy. To, o historii jakiego kraju ty piszesz, ułomny kretynie?

It does seem that Poland now has the strongest land army among all European NATO members. And that's a good thing given their proximity to Belarus, Kaliningrad, and Ukraine.

We do not have the strongest army... yet. In 1939 we had 8th most powerful army in the world but we had to deal with 2nd (German) and 3rd (soviet). The situation is different nowadays.

@BasedMemeonInternet If the first army in the world attacked from two sides loses to the second and the conglomerate from the end of the list according to your criteria, it means that Poland, in my opinion, managed better than Germany :)It's interesting that it only took a few years for the roles to be reversed. Anyone who starts a war sooner or later will suffer the consequences

@BasedMemeonInternet French army in 1939 was 1st in power ranking. It was verified in 1940 that it was 'paper tiger'.

Polacy to zawsze byli kreatywnym narodem i zawsze dostosować sie moga szybko do sytuacji. Każdy Polak, to wie cio to pila, spawarka, jak cos się popsuje to sam dopasuje dotoczy, pospawa i dalej działa. Do remontow i napraw sprzętow, statkow i skomplikowanych zadan zawsze biorą Polaków chetnie na calym świecie, bo polak ma we krwi działać i isc na przód, aby sie wszystko dobrze krecilo i bylo zadanie wykonane na termin.

To ani choroba, ani idea bronić własnej wspólnoty - to dla niektórych święty obowiązek, a dla ciebie zasrany. I szanuj swoich dziadów i wspólną historię, bo jeśli mówisz o naszych gównianych rządach, które wysyłały do obrony ojczyzny naszych przodków, to stawiasz pomniki tym "dobrym rządom" krajów, które kazały na nas napadać, łupić i gwałcić. Skąd takie niedokształty jak ty się biorą?
