Endo can play as a CDM, CM and CB, which is very needed especially after the departures of Henderson and Fabinho. Let's not forget he is the captain of Japan national team and was Stuttgart's captain and that's another reason we are signing him - his experience and leadership.

Endo played in his last game with Vfb in the Pokal last week and scored a goal. So I was really excited to see our Captain be part of the team to play the opening home game. And then out of nowhere, the Liverpool news came out a few days before the new season starts. I'm sad but either way, he deserves this great opportunity and I am so glad he gets to fulfill his lifelong dream in his 30s. Thank you Endo-san for being part of Vfb Stuttgart. His journey in Stutt is what pushed him to where he is today. He was on one of the largest and higher paying club in Japan prior to his transfer, but didn't get any opportunity in the world cup then. He wanted to to grow to become someone that can carry the team for the years to come. He took smaller money and went out to become better over sea, while everyone including many Japanese fans at the time thought he was too small to play in Bundes. He worded his ass off, fought and proven himslef to become the captain of the squad, both in Stuttgart and in the national team. And perform the way he did in the last WC and got us the rare and quality win over Germany and Spain. Japanese fans owe it all to Stuttgart for backing him for years. And his new journey begins.

As a Japanese soccer fan, I agree with this opinion. I recognize the potential of Kubo and Mitoma, but at the moment they are probably outclassed by the quality of Endo. And he is less injured than Tomiyasu. Endo is the heart of Japan.

All these tiktok and instagram merchants hating on him because he is 30 years old is hilarious. Just because he doesn’t have 92 potential on your career mode save doesn’t mean this is a bad signing. For 16 million Klopp brings in someone with energy, versatility and leadership which are all things that are crucial to this liverpool team at the moment. If he can bring in another player like Doucore, fofana, sangare, gravenberch or amrabbat then this will be a superb signing for extra cover especially when AFCON comes around. I am looking forward to seeing endo in a liverpool shirt!

This transfer will hurt. Being a smaller club it'll always be difficult to retain players, but year after year being near top of the Buli in challenges won and clearances really makes him seem impossible to replace in any capacity. @@cjewe1z Heart is 99% of football. Henderson had nothing else and did just fine. He is an upgrade without a shadow of doubt. He is Milner from a few years ago, I would sign him before thinking about Caicedo or Lavia to begin with. I would not spend a dime for them without first securing Endo. He is exactly what Liverpool needs, since Liverpool has talents like Szoboszlai and Bajcetic; they need a solid dedicated concrete block to stand on. They have potential to be beyond world class, without Endo/Milner their success rate is drastically compromised.

He is going to shine in Liverpool under Klopp and Klopp have always loved Japanese players with the likes of Kagawa Minamino now Endo he'll make Endo as world class like he did with Lewandowski
