Wasting Fuel And Time On A Mandatory Backroad Route For A Tiny Wide Load

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There is no reason for this wide load route to be this difficult! Not to mention putting me more likely to have an accident on backroads as compared to the interstate.

I love your honesty. Admitting that you do not know a few things is very good. Talking about headlights some state troopers really need to know the laws. I own a 2021 Toyota Rav4 that has some very bright daylight running lights, that I cannot turn off. Had a trooper stop me a bit ago and he gave me a ticket for them being too bright. Of course I fought it and won because they are what came with my car and I cannot turn them off without disabling my headlights.

The automobile manufacturers need to be taken to court for these overly bright head lamps . The aiming of these lamps effect on coming vehicles . Let someone drive your vehicle and you look at your oncoming lamps .

@@vicpetrishak1077 I will agree with you. Some of the headlamps are way too bright for their own good. But like i said my daytime running lights automatically go out when it gets dark enough and my normal lights come on. It is those people that decide to install super bright headlights that have no concern for others and can cause an accident if the person they are meeting has light sensivity problems. I myself am light sensivitive and have some issues with oncoming traffic especially those with the super bright headlights. It is not always the manufacturers fault it is the light manufactureres fault for offering the super bright lights that idiots think they need when all they need to do is have their lights properly aimed.

Love that 400 horsepower cat engine. I regularly drive a 1995 Kenworth T800 with a 3406E pulling lowboys and landalls. when it was new it was rated at 410 horsepower now it’s almost 30 years old probably loosing 50 horses to blow by. The 18 speed and the 4:11 gear ratio help it pull like a monster but it tops out at 55 mph though

You’re talking about him changing the headlight? A modern KW 900 or 800 or a western star 4900 is the same headlight hell a modern aero truck you just pop the hood pull off a cover twist the plug unplug the bulb plug in the new one and put it all back don’t even need any tools

@@theoregontruckerT880 Yeah, it's the same with Volvo and the newer Freightliners. It takes just a few seconds to change the bulb, and you're back in business. That old style was just a pain in the ass, and they couldn't take the road shock as well as the really older headlights or the newer style.

  • @truthseeker2321

@@theoregontruckerT880 I mean the really old style, which was a round single light with the high- beam and low- beam in one, they lasted a really long time, compared to the square ones. I started driving on a ' 68 cabover international back in 1987, and I drove that truck for 4 years and only replaced one headlight. I don't know, but it might have been the original.

Legally we called it probable cause. Once it’s established it’s just a traffic offense and nothing more 9/10 of the time a verbal warning or a written one so they wouldn’t get a cite from another officer for the same violation (if it was an equipment one). The largest narcotics seizure I’ve ever made was from a moped tail light being busted

PA sure likes to screw with you when running OD. I was running 12ft wide once and they made me go around construction on I-78. The dang backroads were barley wide enough for the truck. Power line poles were about a foot from the asphalt, had to stop and pull over every time I met another vehicle. It would have made more since to just run the interstate and take both lanes since there wasn't a lane closure. Another time I was around 10ft wide and didn't tell PA to put me on the toll road. Ran back roads for most of the route. Came to a turn and it was one of the roads that says no doubles or 102. Someone definitely had their head up their ass on that one.

Never heard of putting anti-freeze in the tires. I’m assuming that’s because it’s in a colder area. Where I’m located at they put water in it.

We use beet juice, non-corrosive, non-toxic, heavier than water, wont freeze up as easy.

When delivering a motor home i was stop for a safety. Although I did not have the fog lights on, I was told to turn them on. One did not work and he was about to give me a ticket. I asked him if I can fix it in 5 minutes would he still give me a ticket. How I fixed it was to take both fog lights off. He was not happy but he let me go.

Where are the tractor duals? Usually if the "dual mounting hubs", are installed, there should be the "duals". When "ordered", the "Hubs and Duals", come as a "Package",...usually.

We live close enough for Jersey Tomatoes. I am not a fan, but the wife is. I take the George Carlin approach. Coming back from the airport after arriving from Nashville noticed had a headlight out. The only and only time I didn't have a spare bulb. It's about a 45 mile drive back home. Wife says we're probably going to get pulled over. It's 2:00 a.m. Sure enough get a mile from the house and our local police does a u turn to pull me over. At 2:00 a.m. he was probably bored and hoping to catch a drunk driver. Only got a warning. I found out later talking to another police officer that works with the one who stopped me, gave this police officer's mother a ticket. And he knew who she was.
