@Owly Games - With the recent updates, I now have to use the 50% crit skill instead of rely on that animal bond bug, so the 100% crit will be only achieve at mid game instead of too early in the game, yet the concept still good, so thank you for taking the time to do this. One question though, since you put skills in weird science to wear that armor, why not max out weird science, go for fire and ignore explosive all together?

I'm in my second playthrough of the game and used this build on both runs for a lead character. I made a ton of mistakes on the first run but even running it with a flawed setup it was still powerful and a lot of fun.

Thanks for creating this! I've already had two full playthroughs so playing around with builds like this makes starting a new game more interesting.

I know This was 2 months ago But here is a tip There is a secret skill book that unlocks combat shooting, it's a skill that You can only get Through reading this book, maxing out This skill Gives You 50% + critical chance,You get as a quest reward After You Hunt Down The Sinths for Gary Wolfe

very well explained and shows the stats in the begining as well. Very well done

You know you can have two pets with you. You have to have it during the intro, major Tom cat. You can talk to him and use the charm dialog (only with him). First you dismiss him then you charm the animal you want then go to major Tom and talk to him and he will join you

Fun to watch and a nice build. Thank you.

If you are only going to emulate one character build for W3 this is it. Incredibly effective and very fun to play.

Note: With the recent patch they have lowered crit chances, so this build will not be as effective as before. Don't cry too much, the lowered crit chance goes for enemies as well

it's not that easy to reach 100 anymore - but it still works. I run this build (but I changed some thing a little bit here and there) with 1.2. The most difficult fight was the boss in the dungeon in bizzare, everything after that went easier and easier as further I progressed with the game

... no that's not ideal anyway. Give the enemies 100% crit chance My tank took ZERO damage almost every attack with Max crit resistance, And yes, After the nerd to that trinket I still have 100% resistance That patch made defence shit. Johnny Cage is in serious danger now

My pistol dude was a Diciple of the Metal / Pyromaniac with Weird Science, Toaster Repair and the fire armor from Steeltown. Missed out on the animal companion, but otherwise similar stats.. .except that he does 470 base with the fire gun you get at the end of Aspen. Invested in brawling late game for extra speed

At level 10 you equip pendant. Do you still keep Vengeful bond with only 6 points and pendant Equipped?

To get the he fuse linkage of minute 8 you need to save the hoons at the beginning not the power armors or you can't get it.

Is this build still that powerful in January 2022? I created a character following the setup to the letter and it doesn't even come close to any of these overpowered wonders.

What do you need to get the guardian pistol

a tiny thing you could to to get even more attacks: use the advanced materials mag (-1 clip size, -1ap to reload). when you equip a weapon mid-combat it will always be on an empty mag. with "Draw!" perk you get that free shot after a reload. start combat without weapon equipped -> equip handgun -> reload for 1 ap -> free shot -> un-equip handgun -> re-equip handgun -> reload -> free shot. that way, after spending 6 ranks into small arms, even characters using LMG's could fire for just 1 ap by reloading a handgun, but firing their LMG instead.

It is craftable but forget where the blueprint is, and costs a lot of scrap

I think they nerfed a bunch of this on PC. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? When I use cigarettes he starts the battle with 0AP every time. He always has a hangover all the time too, how do you deal with that? Constant crystal clear? Also, when I found Cheebus, he no longer has any of the top guns.

Cheers ✌, about "cigarettes" it sounds like a bug, it never had effect on your AP when you use it as prebuff. To deal with "hangover" - best tip is to use another cigarette before the previous one ends, you will renew the timer, same works with alcohol, if you failed with that you can use a yellow thing (don't remember the name) which clears all effects, you can get it from doc. About Cheebus, not playing W3 now, cant help with up-to date data, soz.

Any Tips on how to get threw the Prolog fights with the Punk lovers chracters, I could not get past the first ambush after saving the ranger with them.

Pretty much just defend for 3 turns then use vehicle once Prasad fixes it. Prologue can be a bit of a pain but worth it for those sick utility items. Save at rangers base and never overwrite it and start new games from that point on. Currently on 2nd playthrough on SJ and loving it!

Cheers ✌, check 10:08 and my Party composition video. My bet is 1-2 damage dealers and 4 supports with 0 investment in combat skills, with that you can reach rank 6+ in secondary skills early.

I tried this but struggling in early game. Especially when you don't have the level 7 animal companion yet and the +50% crit. What was your game plan there in this playthrough? Did you have anothet party comp? Would love to see you do a lets play video series using john wick!! Sorry first time player and out of all the posted builds on youtube yours looked the most fun.

Have you tried putting the HE Fuse Linkage in the eliminator? It turns out that the penetration and damage increases a lot because it goes up with explosives, in supreme jerk and the biggest enemies no longer fall with an eliminator shot because their shields exceed 40 on the rifle, and I also realized that it is better to invest in luck instead of charisma to increase penetration ... for the final parts if necessary, by the way do you know how the Laser Sight works? They don't say a percentage, they drop + 0.1x, + 0.2x, how does that translate to a percentage? I just know that purple is the strongest, supposedly

Hey buddy - can you please give us a shotgun build - with version 1.2? I tried your sniper AND your Pistol build on Supreme Jerk (my first play through). I had both in my team and from mid game onward the game was a breeze. Even with all the reductions on crit chance with the 1.2 update - it's still possible to get 2 characters to over 100% crit chance, but it's close for the 2end character. To make this possible, you need to use the starting trinket (+10% cirit chance) on one of them, and the +5%crit chance trinket from aspen on the other character. the one with the +5% crit chance trinket will get the helmet from the hq (+15%crit chance). the one with the +10% crit chance trinket will get a cat with animal training (+6% crit total). Both will need to smoke a cig (+10%) and violate their pet (+50%) before each battle. Both need to start with goat killer - at least if you want to have 2 characters hitting the 100% chance. with all of that you get 100% on one character (the pistol person in my case) and 96% on the other person. If you kill 3 enemys in the first round with your pistol person (with leadership) you get the team buff for crit chance so your sniper has over 100% as well. when you have chain ambush on your sniper, he will already have the 100% crit chance at the end of round 1, each fight. With your builds combined, My fights never lasted longer then 2 rounds, mostly only 1 round and the sniper killed of everything else with chain ambush. I did only run 1 additional smg character to weaken enemies in the late game - but that was not necessar and more just for fun. So, with your sniper build, and your pistol build, you have enough damage, to beat the game on supreme jerk, and have 4 spare ranchers in your crew who can have all the skills you need for skill checks. edit: you can't get end game weapons from cheebus anymore - you have to unlock them in your HQ which should happen after you see the red haired raider lady for the first time.

That leader perk book n flag don’t work for me

this is one of the games where we are allowed to say "Randim crits are fair and balanced", especially if you tweaked the crits to happen everytime

this was patched in the last 1.2 patch -I run into this as well - the earliest to get it, is after you have seen the red haired raider girl for the first time (act 2??!) it will automatically unlock in your armory in the HQ. Just check your HQ from now to then, and do the side quests after you get the gun.

Anyone know if this still works in 2022?

Cheers✌, build is based on vengeful bond, which still works perfectly. Multianimal buffs and trinket abuse are bugs ofc and i m glad they been fixed, but there is no bug with VB, its matter of balance😉

More or less yes, however some of the skills and perks have been reworked, so it's not as OP as shown in the video - but it is still a solid build capable of carrying your squad through Supreme Jerk.

The concept of the build still work - just need a slight adjustment - I am going through the game base on the concept of this build, now just have to rely on the skill that give you 50% crit instead of rely on the pet bond bug. - Anyhow thank you @Owly Games for spending time doing this template build.

DO NOT USE - this build took advantage of multiple exploits that have been patched out of the game (Utility Items do NOT unlock perks and they do NOT get that extra point when using a skill book). Who makes a build using exploits anyways?!?

Why not just install a ''trainer'' and activate it lol

Literally no idea what you’re talking about. Most people make their characters, but the punks are the most popular pre-mades by far. +10% crit chance is normally the sole reason for using them to begin with. Also, neither is the character this guide is based around.
