WASTED - Nike SB SB Dunk Low x Verdy "Wasted Youth" Sneaker Unboxing

Nike SB have dropped another Dunk Low collaboration with Japan-based designer Verdy and possibly created a little love/hate Dunk. After teaming up with Nike in 2019 with his Girls Don’t Cry imprint, we now see Verdy's second brand, Wasted Youth and its a dunk worth investigating.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Wasted Youth is clearly inspired by punk and skate culture bringing the two together to create this tough, more rugged but deconstructed Dunk that’s has very different vibes from Verdy’s first sneaker collab.
You all know I love denim on a Dunk, the main upper of these is patchwork black denim, with black tumbled leather throughout. Yet again Nike are playing with the Nike Swoosh, on each sneaker the inside Swoosh is Wasted Youth’s rose logo stitched alongside the Nike Swoosh on the outer to show true collaboration between the brands. There is so much little detail around the Swoosh, with cross stitching which can be cut to reveal a white-outlined Swoosh underneath.
“Wasted” and “Youth” are embroidered on the heel tab replacing the traditional "Nike". Underneath the heel tab writing is a silver D-Ring giving another nod to the design’s punk inspiration. “Wasted” and “Youth” are also on the tongue tabs.
This pair comes with two alternate laces, red and white, thinking the red will really make these pop.

These dunks are so fire. They look SO good on foot and skate harddddd. Copped at retail and went straight on foot.
These are super dark so glad VerdY made it this way! Can’t wait to get my special box in they made this a very good release for fans to get.

No to be pedantic, but I think the flower is actually a tulip. Represents "first love" and has been used by Verdy in a few designs.

The shoes are fire when you remove the swoosh and put on white laces

Those small stitches on the swoosh would have looked so nice in red or white too...love the flower details

Great review 🔥 but man i'm just not feeling these at all personally
I like the concept but I feel like they couldve done better with these. Mainly because they're all black and not eye catching.
