Waste management truck with a new driver

Here on June 4th 2018 my buddy gets to teach a new driver the route that he will soon be on during the week. This truck is collecting recycling which also was full.

@@surfmorworkless yeah, sadly I didn’t get the spot. Turns out, all of their trucks have manuals and I have a restriction that keeps me from driving manual CMVs. Could be worst though, I ended up driving for Greyhound after driving school buses and I can’t complain 😅

Wow, this is quite something. I wonder how much training you need before they let you do your fist solo route.

For me one week then I went solo. In Hawaii training is short more work less safety. I think waste management is 2 weeks training depending on experience.

Jobs like this you mostly get if you know someone on the inside. Every once in awhile you might get lucky and somebody gets fired or quits and they'll post a listing publicly

Well I'm a front load driver in CT with experience and I do one of the toughest front load routes in our company. I plan to move to south Carolina this coming year . I was wondering would it be hard for me to get a front load job and also if someone lives in south Carolina and gets offered a job for waste management in south Carolina do they have to go to Florida for 2 weeks to train or can they train where they got hired?

Theres a car right there low hanging wires so many hazardous stuff why cant it be respected sanctioned off for sanitation lol and accessible to the driver... STRESS FREE... All these analytics to solve issues but the obvious we ignore....is it humanity or is it just not profitable

...i dont understand the intentional leap through hurdle situations why cant it just be normal situations instead of advanced analytics to create scenarios... It looks cool but if its about safety why play
