Waste Management of Litchfield Park
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
So after accidentally stumbling upon Litchfield Park in Street View, I immediately noticed that almost every house has underground bins. I've always thought Litchfield Park, being relatively small, was just another neighborhood in Goodyear (like Palm Valley or Estrella). Evidently, they're their own town, formerly serviced by City Waste and later, Paradise Waste). The city contracts with Waste Management of Arizona to provide unlimited twice-weekly collection of refuse, weekly collection of recyclables in city branded 32 gallon Toters or manual crates, and monthly bulk collection.
So, of course, I find them in the area with as little trash as possible. I would have gotten more footage with a tripod in an area where a 96 gallon cart, both underground bins filled, and some extras on the side wasn't an uncommon sight, but, unfortunately, they went to lunch after the last clip.
Recycling is done by a 320 Autoreach with a driver that said no to filming because "he was working". Because logic.
I'll be back for more if you all like it.
Thanks to friendly crew for allowing me to film.

Nice manual action! First time seeing a 3 man WM crew in awhile.
Great video!
Great video! I really like the underground garbage cans
Found it hard to believe WM automated recycling here - wasn't their best decisions. He borrowed a neighbor's cart and dumped the crate into the cart. Being that 32 gallon is the only size, many residents have 2 or 3, and often end up behind regular garbage or carts lined up vertically rather than horizontally. I definitely plan on filming that next time I get down there. Thanks for the comment
thanks! I agree. City Waste had the right idea, they used a one man FL with a carry can. Though, it's nice to see a three man crew and WM creating a few extra jobs.
Bulk is provided once a month on the last Thursday or Friday of the month, depending if you're on a Mon/Thu or Tue/Fri schedule
Yeah, I was a bit surprised to see this in AZ too, though Parks and Sons also owns a few similar trucks. The Autoreach is also branded/contracted to City of Goodyear. It only works in Litchfield Park and Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thanks!
Never seen underground collections like that where each property has their own submerged bin :S Learn something every day!

MitchellM15 Check out a video I uploaded a little over a year ago just called Parks & Sons of Sun City (kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXai3I-lh8ndY9I.html) they specialize in these underground bins. They're quite popular around the Phoenix area, showing up on this WM route as well as a Republic route or two and inside Phoenix, both Curbside Disposal and Family Pride Sanitation service them. They're also quite popular in the Tucson area.
Twice weekly trash at that. Yeah, I didn't see much bulk out or they already came through but it's amazing how wasteful the city is. Must have been worse before City Waste started the recycling program. Yeah I saw a few houses where they just filmed the containers with rock. Didn't blend in too well lol
It sure is odd to see a 3 man WM crew. Nice to see more of the underground bins, something different from the usual. Too bad recycle isn't done by a RL too. How does the Autoreach deal with the manual crates? I wouldn't be opposed to watching more, especially if it's a heavier part of the route.
