I think he is... I saw Scorpions and Deep Purple last year. Scorpions was playback, lip syncing wasn't terrible. On the other hand, Deep Purple simplified and shortened a bit some songs...but he fn sang the shit out of them! They got a fan that day, most respect!

Of course it sounds great because they don't play live, everything is on tape, playback... Look at the solos, look at what Blackie plays, what the bassist plays... The only thing that I could notice is the live drums.

Didn't go those time. But once I saw them in 1984 and 5 times after that. Nothing will ever compare to the debut album tour. Blackoe where he should be, on bass and Randy Piper and Chris Holmes pn guitar.

I love hearing wasp but I too have my doubts about backing tracks. After Motley Crue/Kiss, it’s hard to trust bands anymore lol

@@russellcarter1872 Yeah, I know he's running some tracks. You can't be that old and still have a haunting voice. What's so sad is that these younger bands are running tracks and using voice boxes and they're YOUNG! Back in Blackies early years, he didn't run tracks or use voice boxes. They had limited technology. What you saw and heard onstage was raw. If they messed up, they covered it up with different licks or made it appear that it was planned. It was awesome. Most older musicians lose their voice or guitar skills. BUT you have to understand, these older bands are LEGENDS. Just to see them onstage is a miracle. I'll tell you one thing, you won't see the current rock musicians or pop musicians in 20+ years performing without running tracks. Just to see them live is worth the cost of admission IMO! OBVIOUSLY your are young. YOU have NO CLUE as to what musicians had to deal with in the 70's and 80's. Now on a different level, with the current technologies, the younger guitarist can do their their thing. vocals, well that's where technology comes in. I seen WASP in the early 80's. They were AWESOME!!! AND it was RAW!!!
