The last time I went to Washington, my flight to Reagan National through Atlanta was overbooked, and I was rerouted to Dulles! Obviously, Reagan National's more convenient, but if you want to go overseas, you gotta go through Dulles!

I’ve been at this airport many times but I haven’t been in years , it’s such a great airport. I don’t go on United , I did a couple of times but I do use delta airlines most of the time . Thanks for the tour of Dulles airport and your travel experience,

I would tell you the best part staying at a hotel near the airport, you get to see the airplanes land or take off , that’s my favorite part of the airport

@@throughmyhand If not in July I hope some time in August or September, I keep seeing it will open summer 2022 but I guess they need to update the article when they get a new date for the opening

When they arrived at c gates there is d gates when the sign says train to a,b and c gates and also left C12 Gate - D3 Gate until C12 Gate started boarding to the plane

I can tell you buddy, I've been in every area in that Airport lol

Can't wait to fly back to Japan out of Dulles.

I'm watching this because I go to the dulles airport in 17 days and need the memory from 2 years ago

IAD is a world class airport as you can see here and is the 2nd airport mainly serving DC's area to help decongest DCA which is a regional airport with strict flight restrictions to reduce airport noises as planes follow the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. Also, bigger planes use this airport more than DCA in this case.

@@throughmyhand, there is an airport in unincorporated Anne Arundel County, MD just south of Baltimore which is BWI. It mainly serves Baltimore and of course, DC as a secondary. Before the existance of IAD, back in the '50s to early '60s, people in the DC area travel to the Baltimore area and use BWI. Last year, the Silver Line finally connects IAD to help bring more passengers in and out of the airport to and from the center of the DC area. Therefore, there are 3 airports serving the combined statistical area of DC and Baltimore which are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) (since the '40s), Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) (since the '50s) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) (since the '60s). Again, DCA is made for regional travel, BWI is a balance between long distance travel and regional travel, and IAD is a world class airport for long distance travel.

might just have to come to the airport to sit a bit and relfect since the metro now goes to it

After so many delays, you can now catch the silver line from the airport. Downside, it is not exactly in the terminal, so some walking is involved.

Went to Cancun last year

So you can get lost in this airport if it’s your first time coming here and first time flying you think ? It seems huge 😕 and there are trains 😩. Awesome video, thank you !

When the station opens, there is a pedestrian tunnel that links to the main terminal of the airport
