Hey Bashir, I've watched more than a dozen of your videos, and one thing I've concluded: you need to seriously change your definition of a "huge" walk-in closet. If it's not at least 230 sq ft, you can't call it huge. But that's my opinion. 😊

@@mizzmolly7649 i guess huge is relative. For a DC home, it would be considered huge because closets in DC homes tend to be on the smaller side. If this home was in Maryland or Virginia, different story 🤷🏽‍♂️

The condo was not very spacious and the closets were too small. That's the down side of an older building.

I agree that the first condo was sweet. If you are a single or a couple, I think it’s plenty of space. It had a lot of sunny areas and even though it’s an older building, I think they did a good job of renovating it. The only downside for me is that it’s on the first floor. My first apartment was on the first floor and I didn’t like that but it was my first place I lived on my own and later I moved into a house. Sometimes you have to crawl before you walk. Luckily I never had any problems with people trying to break in. Of course, those were different times.

The DC part of Takoma is more suburban-like than Brookland imo. I have lived next to Brookland nearly all my life and I have always viewed it as the Catholic part of the city (I am Catholic myself).

For that 1st bedroom in that second single family home you showed, I would be more concerned with a younger child climbing over that balcony than I would about a teenager sneaking out. I would make sure that balcony door is childproofed. If the teenager thinks they’re slick enough to jump off that balcony and sneak out w/o hurting themselves in the process, I’d love to see the surprised look on their face when they find me sitting in the room waiting for them. I don’t have to worry about that now but I was very much an alert younger parent. But there’s always secrets that your kid doesn’t tell you until years later…..lol

The first home, condo, was pretty nice, but I wouldn’t want a first floor condo. The second home was very nice, but it was too close to a high school, which made me think about noise. The last home had a very nice main floor and bedroom floor, but the lower level wasn’t laid out well, and the spiral staircase leading up to the attic floor could have been larger because the space could accommodate it. And the attic floor itself had very low ceilings, which made it unlivable. So, if I were choosing between the homes showcased here, I would go with the third home. It wasn’t as large, but it was very nice and I couldn’t find too many things I didn’t like about it. Thanks, Bashir, for taking us on this tour. You do great work! 🙏💪
