Love living here for the sheer pleasure of just getting out and walking. Even better out there on the Mall at dusk, evening and as the sun j setting. Really pretty with the monuments all lit up.

Why does it look so empty here? Is it the time of year or time of day? I've only been to DC a few times for field trips 10-15+ years ago and it was always packed.

I think COVID was the biggest factor. It kept most tourists away. Also, a lot of agencies and businesseses went to telework, so even the metro was pretty sparse for a while. It all picked back up some last summer/fall.

Jaywalking thru red lights or non-sidewalk will get you tickets. If you get tickets, you will vomits up your money on police/courts more than you collect fund from KZread. As for what I saw, you are getting 👎 from me

Will it get you tickets though? While I appreciate your dedication to sidewalk safety, I can assure you that the police have so much more to worry about in DC than someone crossing a street other than at a crosswalk. I give you a thumbs up for watching the video and taking time to comment. 👍 👣

@@CityWander I have lived in WDC for 3 years and seen lots jaywalker like you got stopped by Police. I am pretty sure you got some tickets or 100 tickets...
