I was reminded just before Holy Week and I cried, Lord Jesus Christ, no one wants to wash my feet". And I also know there is no one I can wash their feet or would even let me. When washing the feet is not about Service, it"s about Salvation. Jesus said to Peter, "Unless I wash your feet, you can have no part in me. It is such a grief, anguish. Jesus had his feet prepared by Mary Anointing His feet. I came upon another, a Bishop whose focus this week was on anointing Jesus' head... but not his feet. His focus is Mark, mine is John. The church do not care, that there are whole people groups all over the world, in very remote places, outcasts with no one to wash their feet. Jesus told the disciples before He died do this as an example. You are fine, USA is fine, they have plenty of people and times they can do a foot washing, but there are people who are not fine about it, because there is none to do it for them. Yesterday I heard back, I will wash your feet. Thank Goodness for the Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit, thank goodness He is the only one that really cares about people's feet. When washing the feet is about preparation, the gospel and still a mystery.
