Introducing the first car wash in Florida with a polish tunnel!
Wash City Car Wash is easily one of the most significant and most high volume washes in the Orlando area. The site features 3 Sonny’s pay stations, a 156’ wash tunnel with a Sonny’s P.O.S and controller system, an 85’ polish tunnel, and 2 rows of Sonny’s vacuum arches.
This 156’ wash tunnel is one of the best and largest I’ve ever seen! Installed by Florida Car Wash Services, this tunnel is optimized to handle high volume. The tunnel primarily consists of Sonny’s equipment. The combination of a TOP2K14/SF72 entrance facing wrap around module, freestanding Sonny’s exit SF72 wraparounds, SF50 grill brushes, an OMNI 300 high-pressure arch with 5-nozzle pivoting wheel blasters, TOP2K14/Pendulum combo module, SF63 van brushes, and an SFM807 mitter curtain provide an excellent result!
A TOP2K14 Buff ‘n’ Dry finishes the vehicle removing the leftover water spots from the hood, windshield, and top. Wheel cleaning is accomplished by a set of Mr. Foamer CTAs, Sonny’s bison brush, and Sonny’s ninja brush. Tire shine application is not applied in the wash tunnel when the customer purchases the $20 wash, this is to prevent the risk of brush contamination in the polish tunnel which can leave grease marks on the side of a customers’ vehicle. Vehicles are manually prepped at the entrance of the tunnel with bug spray (and high pressure for extra muddy cars) before entering the wash tunnel. 13 Sonny’s blowers with a triple mammoth setup remove most of the water from the customers’ vehicles.
This site is currently using Diamond Shine chemicals, including the entire Fusion Process.
Overall, I was delighted with the results from the wash and polish tunnels, nothing to really complain about. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Interesting how the SFM 807 can house a tirebrush where they are usually instealled beneath the top brush or the 901 FTB.

Wash City does not play around when it comes to making a tunnel. They are not afraid to spend money =)
Amazing sonnys tunnel although I have several questions about the setup: 1. If someone has a membership, do they use RFID or License Plate recognition? 2. If someone does not receive the fusion prime, do they still receive a normal low ph lubricating detergent? 3. In the backroom, are the chemicals dispensed through sonnys chemical concierge dispensers, direct chemical injectors, or a pre-plumbed pump station with either flojet/shurflo pumps? Please dont feel like I expect all answers as you probably only know certain things about it but I'm trying to learn how the new sonnys tunnels are being set up today especially with all of their new features. If you could answer at least one or two, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to answer all your questions but I can answer most of them. 1. If a customer has an unlimited membership, they will sign up with their license plate number, so when they pull up to the pay station, the LPR system will recognize their license plate and the gate will immediately open. 2. The customer will not receive the entire fusion process if they didn’t purchase the $20. This means that they will only receive the normal low pH lubricating detergents. 3. I can’t really answer that question.
