I'm a 28 year old South African and became Muslim in 2014. The best decision ever. By the grace of Allah my eldest brother is showing intention to also become Muslim. This is the greatest thing to happen for me cause I'm not married nor have any children yet so Islam would've stopped in my family if anything would happen to me.... All thanks to God my brother are married and have children therefore If he becomes Muslim then my surname "White" will continue with Muslims in our family. I wish you all the best in this life and the next and make Dua that Allah allows you to grow from strength to strength

I am from Banyuwangi east Java

Doing Ramadan in Indonesia is easier because we are fasting only for like 13 hours from sunrise to the sunset the challenges for fasting here is heat and humidity, but if you live in Bandung maybe it feels a lots better because it's a highland has much lower temperature than the other city

If you came to Indonesia just for Bali, you don't have to learn Indonesian language, because most of the locals speaks english very well. But if you visit Indonesia other than Bali (Java etc), at least you should learn basic Indonesian (basic greeting, numbers) language and make sure your phone ready for google translate. But wherever you are in Indonesia do not hesitate to ask for help, even with language barrier they are always doing their best to help you, and don't forget to smile even to a stranger, because smile is a sign of friendlyness & respect. 😁
