Saying yes in that moment didn't necessarily have to mean an immediate wedding. Even an engagement(althought a little long term) should not be too much to ask from the man she spent almost half a decade in a relationship with. Turning her down like that meant he saw no future together, and that if she waited, she could have easily become a 35yrs old woman- 7yrs later- and still sit in the position of a GIRLFRIEND, not a WIFE. No matter how much it is ignored, women DO have a biological clock when it comes to having kids.

Saying no simply mean that he is in charge of the moment and not accepting that form of patronizing prank. Real men don't anchor their noble future on trivialities you know. Well, just for the record it is a reality check for men and most assuredly reality reels for the younger women.

4 years with someone and you have to think about it? As a man, you have to respect people's time and effort. It is clear she wanted something while he pretended to want the same for 4 years. This guy is a waste of time. Hate people like him. Don't get into relationships if you are not serious.

Don't be with a guy for four years and not knowing what you are doing around him. This isn't a nursing home. Get real and ask real questions before you hurt yourself. There is no crime to knowing individuals state of mind in relationships. Even when a guy is getting too close for comfort please ask real questions and politely.

High school and college were the times to date around. Past mid 20s, you better plan on getting serious or move on. This isn't How I met your mother, you cant bank on a gaggle of girls out of your league to fall from the sky

I'm a man and I got to say she's right. (4) years is more than enough time for a man to know if he really wants to be married or not. The biological clock is real and time is not something you can get back and stings like hell especially when it's been wasted!!!

As a woman, she is clearly in the wrong. She put him on the spot in front of everybody with no prior discussion and then gets mad when he declines even after he says he's willing to talk about it after they leave.
