You got the anthropic principal completely backwards. The anthropic principal is the idea that an observer can only exist in an environment cable of supporting observers. It means the universe had to be capable of supporting the evolution of life, not that observers create the universe around them.

I've seen programmes where they have spoken of discovering at least '2' more branches of life arising from an entirely different origins, but then I have heard nothing else spoken about these incredible discoveries for years? And I mean 'entirely' new, which can evolve without many of the normal requisites of life. So, why haven't we heard anything of these since? I find it very 'very' strange how these discoveries seemed to have just disappeared, because at the time they said they were 'groundbreaking!'

I never get the 'it's fine tuned for life and if one thing was different we wouldn't be here'. Well anybody or anything would say that if they existed. We're a result of how the universe just turned out to be, not that 'its been made that way for us to exist'. We're just a product of the way it formed.

@King Dracovich "I always wish we discover not all but one secret..." To discover... The one secret "why we and the universe exist?" It's essential that we discover all that is the intricacies of the whole universe and the intricacies of all that live on and in this earth and hence the fundamentals of all those intricacies and whence that done, we discover the fundamental of all those fundamentals that tells us why we exist in a universe and why that universe exists! After all, all that live on this earth, we humans are the only one uniquely in investigations to find out what's in the universe and how it formed, and so far no extraterrestrial of any type, say microorganism is found and certainly we don't notice any other life on this earth investigating us humans! So, whence the fundamental of all those fundamentals are discovered, then we discover why we exist in a universe and why that universe exists! All indicative of one!

You got it backwards. If the Earth’s qualities were different, so would we be. The great Chain of being, is a Philosophical , Theologic concept. What appears as a biased design for our existence, is the reverse, we are what we are because of the qualities of the environment we developed in. An Octopus looks like it does , not because the ocean was Developed around its unique Anatomy, but the opposite. Humanity thinks to much of itself. After our extinction, which will follow the the same fate of prior extinct organisms , except we will more likely creat the events that lead to it. , the next Organism will fill our void. The universe will barely notice. I recall that the prevailing belief was Water and Oxygen are a universally requirement for life . Then deep Ocean organisms were discovered that did not comply. We make Ego based decision about what and who we are and are not. We still have Flat Earth believers, but their titles are now PhDs. It is the old story of three blind people examining an Elephant. Each is sure their discovery of its design is corrected, when none are.

I've always held the position that dark energy, and dark matter equate to the old adage some of us were taught as children, God Is Everywhere! He is the matter, and energy holding it all together. Even with the highest guesstimate of how many planets there are in the universe, most don't understand just how perfect it is here on earth, and the likelihood of a repeat earth in some distant galaxy percentage wise is not a possibility at all! The narrator delved a little into how perfectly designed the cosmos is, but didn't get into DNA, and how impossible it would be to recreate, let alone it just evolved on it's own. These are my beliefs, you believe in whatever floats your boat, Noah's Ark floats mine! ✌

So important to distinguish Aristotle's method from his conclusions! The fool dismisses Aristotelian science for his incorrect conclusions. But it was the EMPIRICIST method he developed that his predecessors picked back up after almost 2 millenia of the Platonic, RATIONALIST hegemony of the catholic church, which allowed science to bloom and gave us the glorious technologically advanced world we live in today. Thomas Aquinas, a pre-renaissance catholic theologian, literally rediscovered the works of Aristotle for Europe while visiting the middle east, and popularized the idea that you could connect with God by looking at the world, effectively severing the tie church's grasp on the masses as their only link to God. Just as with Aristotle whose method was more important than his conclusions, Aquinas' "democratization" of God via bringing him to the sensory level (which everyone has and you don't have to devote your life to the church to use) was more important than his conclusion to use that method to prove God, and led to the protestant reformation, the scientific revolution, the enlightenment, the founding of America, the industrial revolution, the modern world we enjoy today and the recent legitimate postmodern criticisms of it. Philosophy is important.

No. But we were made by the universe, for the universe to know "itself." It's either that, or the abiogenesis of life on earth was a cosmic accident, when life was never supposed to exist, so to speak. Think about that..in the universe's total history, life on earth could be the first life to ever exist AND the last life to exist. That is a very real possibility. And look at what we humans are doing to life.. life that surely must be supremely rare, if only on earth.

Possible, but extremely unlikely. We know of 6 billion other Earth-like planets in our galaxy alone. We also know there are billions of other galaxies, which likely contain billions of Earth-like planets. So that's a lot of opportunities for life to develop, even if it can only develop on an Earth-like planet. More likely there are and have been other intelligent species elsewhere in the universe, but we just haven't found the evidence yet.

That is a he'll of an explanation regards our universe. May also explain why many believe in a God. Which went on to religious wars. Some how, as knowledge became more evident, differences calmed down, once we became more civilised. Sadly, not all accepted modern life.

This is so stupid I don't know what to say except one meteor of the right size destroys everything that mankind every did. How is that the Universe is made for us, when we're hanging on by a thread.

"Was The Universe Made Just For Us? " Why such question/thought? It's clear as the daylight it was made for us. Although is how humans perceive time/size/distance...that changes the image in our brain of how and why. Father has Created all that surrounds us(in this dimension) with so much love.

So scientist believe in something they feel is true, very religious sounding. It worries me when our supposedly brightest minds say things like we think or most likely lol. I wish they could admit that they don't know i can respect that more than a guess lol.

Real scientific advancement happened only because Christians believing in the Bible and God looked for God's laws played out in His creation. In Genesis God basically says look the Universe I created to show my Glory and look at the Earth for the wonders of life that I created. Christian scientists believed that the universe was ordered and looked for laws and created ordered mathematics. Now one does not have to believe that "laws" govern our universe, but having that framework brings progress. The Bible does say that Earth is SPECIAL in this created universe. What we see so far is that Earth is a paradise of paradises and everythingelse is utter desolation (in terms of life).

Sometimes when I drop a real silent but burning 🔥 hot fart, before it hits the nose, I will lean over and whisper to the person next to me on the bus, or wherever: “that one is just for you. And you alone” then I smile and clasp my hands together 🙏 as if in prayer (it’s an ancient Japanese greeting).
