Yeah after that he was introduced as a member of TBE(Tully Blanchard Enterprises) at Supercard of Honor and then I guess he's been sitting. AEW really needs to hurry up and get something done so that they can split the ROH and AEW rosters so that ROH talent can be on TV in their own format. I know Jay Lethal said when they had to sit during COVID it was driving them all nuts because they didn't care they wanted to risk it to entertain us and perform, so I'd imagine they might feel the same here. At least the talent that's not getting much TV time, or at the least they need to have the ROH titles be defended weekly which would give 9 other ROH talent outside of champions(WHC, Women, Pure, Tag, Trios, and TV challengers) a chance to be on TV.

When you start your wrestling career as a technical grappler, that thing will never go out of your system and that’s what Joe is betting on in this point of his career. He doesn’t have the explosiveness no more, the athleticism, and the agility. But he can still wrestle there’s no doubt. This match shows two sides of the coin: The Prime Athlete in Cage that is still capable of being a bionic behemoth of an athlete, and the Technician in Joe. Perfect combination of showcase of talent here.

I can think of 3 others that rival the ones done by the men already mentioned....... ...... currently......Randy Orton ......in the 1980s......Barry Windham and Road Warrior Animal I know that I am biased, but I think Barry Windham had the smoothest one ever. And if memory serves (it might not 😂)...I seem to recall Dustin stating in an interview at some point, that he actually was taught the move by Windham.

Side note: I wish some current wrestler would start doing Barry Windham's "float-over" suplex. I always thought that it was a thing of beauty.

The match of the giants and how Brian Cage looked organic and I was waiting for his victory, the main disadvantage of the whole match is the result and a quick end for a fighter who dominated 80% of the match. Samoa Joe flew well in the ring and was really able to maintain such a pace by showing his standard set of techniques. Cage almost shows the best matches on the show, but it always lacks something. The match looked unique and fresh, to change a couple of moments and it would be absolutely perfect.
