This was a fun theory. That picture and the writing by the gearbox suggests the park was definitely different at some time. However if Lloyd was the mascot I wonder what caused them to go in another direction.

I honestly think it’s because they wanted go for a more cute main mascot, thus Rambley takes Lloyd’s place. Not to mention, the lion’s color palette is overly exaggerated and I imagine it’s easier to draw more of Rambley, whose design is simple yet adorable

Also you can see Lloyds face on the gate behind the parks creator when he’s doing his speech at the opening of the park

The problem with that is it might have been shot elsewhere, such as by the Molly Macaw Collectible in the shot used in this video where the same Lloyd art is visible.

It's really interesting how the shot pans towards the image of Loyd. It's possible that Loyd was like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in a way: Loyd may have been his characters first creation. However, as time went on, and the park and the cartoon's interest began to decline, Loyd's creator tried to make the next best thing: Rambly. Over time, Rambly became much more popular, and his creator handed mascott duties from Loyd to Rambly. However, it seems that Rambly hates and is jealous of Loyd, his creators first creation (one of the Mascott robots, Molly, gives a hint that Rambly may hurt Loyd).

Something I haven't heard anyone cover yet is that in the old video of the parks founder, you can see a painting of Loyd to the right of the main gate, but when you get into the game, Rambly is painted there instead, which actually supports this theory more.

Honestly the evidence points to it. I mean, the statue makes sense, his cameo in the opening sequence, the oswald the bunny parallels. It's probably why Rambley is envious of Lloyd in the first place, and I think he's not aware he wasn't the og mascot (the painting in the train station doesn't count, he didn't physically do it)

Something you probably missed in the speech where the creator of the park we see in the background a Lloyd poster but when go to that same spot in game we see it’s replaced with a rambley poster instead of Lloyd

Fun fact, on the Winnie the Pooh ride at Disney they have an Easter egg of Mr. Toad giving away the deed to the ride like we see here. Makes sense because the game is heavily inspired by Disney.

Interesting theory that could be true although if Lloyd was the first mascot the theme park wouldn’t be called indigo park as that’s rambleys colour/color so maybe the theme park had a different name like Lloyd’s park or yellow/orange park to match with Lloyd.

I am pretty sure it was named after the Founder. The main mascot was probably changed to Rambley later though since his colors fit the park better. Not sure if Isaac made that call. Could have been someone who he left the park to after retirement.

This is def not just a theory, all this evidences shows it that he WAS indeed the first mascot, but now the question is, what or who made a change?

Perhaps back then when Lloyd was the face of Indigo Park, they used a different palette of colors and themes. This would suggest that the park was different back then. Issac, or someone else decided to make a change and used Rambley as well as a different theme. Thus, supports both my theory and reasoning.

You know, it makes sense. If you look behind the creator during his "Welcome all" speech, you can also see Lloyd is painted directly behind him. I'd have to look at the opening intro again to see if any others are on the wall behind him, but at least in the clip you showed Lloyd is the only one front and center near what I presume would be the entrance. It also explains why Rambly's suit arrived so late compared to all of the others.

i just realized that the picture is on the ride when you look back is probably a reference to "the many adventures of winnie the pooh" ride at disney (forget which park), there's a picture on the floor showing Mr. Toad giving the deed to Owl (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride used to be in that building)

I'd also like to point out that the founder of Indigo Park has a very similar voice to Lloyd. It's even possible that, like Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney, Lloyd the Lion was voiced by Isaac Indigo.

Wouldn't be surprising since if we look at history, before there was Mickey Mouse there was Oswald The Lucky Rabbit. It would be a fun lil twist to have it to where Lloyd was the 1 who made Indigo Park popular as it's first mascot, but the park decided to switch to Rambley because of an incident or something with Lloyd.

Goose actually used the portrait to confirm this! The portrait is a reference to Mr. Toad giving a deed to Pooh, still seen in the Pooh ride. Goose has said it depicts Lloyd giving Rambley the deed to the park on twitter.

Holy shit I just discovered something when rambly is glitching near the end of your video rambly glitched and showed a green version of him in a old train conductor outfit! I just noticed that (i love trains so I picked up on the style in That split second) and before the train conductor outfit on the left is a rubber hose style hand and a small bit of check tuft ( how TF am I noticing this in a theory video how)

With indigo park having some inspiration from disney is it safe to say Lloyd is the Oswald of indigo park

Game Theory theorized that Lloyd was one of the new mascots, but this actually was my first inclination considering he’s the only one who gets a retro plush. Of course, then it makes less sense why Ramsey asked “Why does Lloyd get a retro” because the answer would obviously be because he HAS a retro design while Rambley supposedly does not. Potential resolution is that Lloyd was the first mascot that got replaced by Rambley but was then revived in a new round of mascots, like if Disney brought back Oswald the Rabbit (who came before Mickey)

Do note that while this is a good theory, Mason has stated in the Meet the Cast video that Rambley was the main mascot and virtual assistant since day 1 Also Rambley was the star of the Indigo cartoons, named Rambley and Pals However, I believe that they could have planned to replace Rambley with Lloyd since that is the kind of thing he would do, he is that arrogant and genuinely believes he is the most important person on the planet

I mean, Salem did constantly make gadgets to ruin Rambley's day, and specifically Rambley's Though the music video of Rambley Review implies he considers Salem a friend, or more likely than getting his friendship with Lloyd back, so we'll have to see

Will it be fair I actually think Lloyd was the first mascot of indigo park because he seems to be the most popular out of all the characters and in addition to this I feel like Lloyd should have been a more hostile enemy in the game because he didn't have a jump scare or even tried to attack us at all I actually have a feeling that we're going to see Lloyd again in Chapter 2 along with Salem the skunk and maybe Lloyd will actually have a jump scare in chapter 2 it makes sense that Lloyd only had a brief appearance in chapter 1 but maybe if we see him in Chapter 2 he'll have a much bigger role and he'll actually try to kill us this time but I guess we'll have to wait and see what Mason does I have a feeling that he might bring Lloyd back in chapter 2 but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens
