The thought never crossed my mind that Tillman was using Dalton to get rid of Wesley but it makes sense. However, that doesn't make him the bad guy. Just a bit shrewd, I guess. He heard about Dalton's moral standards and his sense of justice through his work in Memphis. That was the real reason why he didn't want Wade Garret. Because he wouldn't give a shit about Wesley, not because he was too old.

Yeah, judging on how willing Wade was to walk away, he viewed it as just a job, nothing to lose your life over

@Gary8282 ай бұрын
No, he was not the villain; he may have used Dalton as a pawn to help eliminate Wesley, but Wesley was the villain b/c had he not been a tyrant then Tighe's character never would have needed to recruit Dalton. Kind of like The Magnificant Seven...the villagers never would have recruited Brynner and the group had Wallach not been attacking them. So, what Tighe's character did here is essentially the same thing; he just wasn't as forthcoming about his entire intentions upfront.

Interesting theory and it makes sense - if Wesley had such control over the town, the DD would never be successful as long as he was alive. So why would you spend money on improving the place? Dalton was ready to leave because he saw it was a lost cause, the DD probably would have been a pile of ash within a month. But with Wesley and his men gone, different story.

He was never the villain, a king made his move checkmate by putting his cards on the table. The other hand Wesley wanted a full house & everything that came along with it but did it crook it because he lost but wanted more, tillman did it correctly & knew what the outcome was gonna be.
